RIBA — one of the gravest sins in Islam — isn't just in loans. It's in the MONEY itself.
Simon Dixon: what's worse is the interest owed on every dollar doesn't even exist.
He calls it a debt-based Ponzi scheme.
Did you know money in your bank account originated as debt?

We need to be thinking in terms of building another internet, with our tribes/communities/cults on board. The existing internet is fragile. A cyber pandemic is a matter of when, not if. Digital IDs are already creeping into the infrastructure of everyday life.

Frostsnap is the self-custody system you've been looking for 💙
Replying to @Gen6G
Why do i think Frostsnap is the best overall multisig? Regular MS is way too complicated for most uninitiated people (family members). They dont care and are not willing to learn. Its just too much for them. So, the choice comes down to single sig passphrase or frostsnap because i have zero interest in involving any 3rd parties. Im just not comfortable with SS for savings but thats fine for those that are.
If you only have yourself to worry about forever then you can obviously just do whatever you want. We all have different obstacles to deal with so thats why there really is never any set answer on "the best" method.

Simon, @SimonDixonTwitt absolutely nails this one.
If you have been following his work and understand the Financial Industrial Complex and how it operates, you wouldn't be wearing Big Bitcoin Hats.
Episode #443 w/ Simon Dixon (@SimonDixonTwitt) is available now. Simon Dixon is a former investment banker & commentator on finance and geopolitics. He breaks down how the world really works and who is (actually) in charge.

Closing Q&A from the Muslim Bitcoin Summit (@muslimbtcsummit ) in London, with @SimonDixonTwitt , Shaykh Mu'aawiyah Tucker (@c_hashreview ), Subhan Tariq Esq. (@BitcoinLawyr ), Abdullah ibn Oda (@MBitcoiner ) & Michael Howe (@yourbtcguide ).
What's next for Palestine? Can Wall Street capture Bitcoin? How do you pay zakat in it? Where do you even start?
Simon explains what actually keeps Bitcoin decentralised, who owns it, who mines it, who writes the code and who runs the nodes, and why, despite the pressure from Wall Street, he still trusts it. Shaykh Mu'aawiyah reminds us that Bitcoin is ultimately the people who use it, and that as Muslims we answer for our effort, not the outcome. The panel gets practical on starting small, moving to self-custody and paying zakat in Bitcoin, then turns to how a country like Syria can rebuild without surrendering its sovereignty to creditors.
The Q&A covers:
• What's next for Palestine, and why a sovereign wealth fund matters
• Can Bitcoin be captured? Owners, miners, developers and nodes
• Bitcoin is its people, and outcomes are with Allah
• Getting started: small steps, self-custody and the Lightning Network
• Paying zakat in Bitcoin, and how zakat naturally caps extreme wealth
• Rebuilding Syria without giving up financial sovereignty
• How finance and Bitcoin led two speakers to Islam

It ended with Simon and me sharing how our studies of money & economics tied in with us embracing Islam. For me it was my local masjid asking for qard hasan, and realising fiat punishes the very generosity Islam encourages.

"One day, that group of sincere and credible individuals will find their own critical mass, and create something unique"
Reading this passage from brother @harris_irfan’s book, Heavens Banker, talking about his conversation with brother Tarek El Diwany…
I immediately thought of my brothers @BitcoinMajlis and what @MBitcoiner told him at our summit a couple of weeks ago: him and his book started this. We were all here, doing this, fisabililah, as a result of his work.
So as he hoped, it has started to happen. Maybe not quite as he pictured, but it’s happening nonetheless. Alhamdulilah.

You're asking the wrong question entirely and it reveals just how poorly @spiral_xyz and much of the broader Bitcoin industry understand the problem they're actually trying to solve.

Brilliant conversation. I think I may disagree with @SimonDixonTwitt on some details and specifics, but his MIC,TIC,FIC model is by far the best I’ve come across at explaining global power structures.
Great interview @JonesDanny
