💔 Some very sad news from the Sanctuary 💔
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that our beautiful little Dijon sadly passed away earlier this week following another serious deterioration in her health.
As many of you know, Dijon was one of our much-loved S.E.N.S.E. residents, who faced enormous challenges throughout her four years of life.
Despite being paralysed from the waist down, Dijon was a happy, chatty, bossy little girl who certainly knew what she wanted! She loved her chicken, raced around at surprising speed in her spectacular outfits and kept us all entertained with her mischief.
She is the only cat I know that can have a full general anasthetic and still kick off, slap the nurses and pull several cannulas out.
Over the years, she overcame so many serious health battles, but sadly this was one fight our brave little girl couldn't win.
Dijon was such a special part of our Sanctuary family, and her loss has left us heartbroken.
Thank you to everyone who has cared and supported her along the way.
The Sanctuary will be a much quieter place without our little diva shouting her orders.
Sleep peacefully, beautiful Dijon. 🤎🐾

GREETINGS FROM PRISON!
I clowned on the maintenance men who came to our house today while my moms were at work, and I slipped outside. I was found by a good Samaritan who brought me to the shelter.
I'm home safe now, but jailed for 1000 years!
😭😭😭

I said this a year ago: human-made art will become a luxury good, just like local and nutritious food, natural-fiber clothing, and tech-free education for children. Basic human things are increasingly only for the rich.

Travis Knight says that LAIKA will never use generative AI in their films.
“AI is theft. It’s the ingestion of years and years and years of human creativity and ingenuity, regurgitated back. It has no humanity. It has no spirit.”

We are sorry to bring you sad news.
Our beautiful Domino has passed over to the rainbow bridge.
Coming so soon after Miss Storky, we are devastated.
Domino was an unforgettable face. He guarded the fountain near the door of Ernestos, where he was sure to greet every member of the team and receive lots of love and chin scratches every day.
He had become lethargic recently and on examination it was found that he had liver problems. Despite our very best care, we were unable to save him.
We will always remember our beautiful Guardian of the Fountain.
Fly to the bridge dear Domino. Find the other Ernestos cats and take our love with you.

Skittles: Hello Everyone,
The Big Guy was outside this #MondayNight to fill up the water and food dishes for our outdoor furrends, 🏡🌌🥘💦
And he decided to take some pictures of the moon as it shined through some of the clouds over our neighborhood 🌕🏘️

🧡 Today marks 7 years since I moved in with my humans! 😻 I was a scared, grumpy, bitey little ginger boy, and now I’m mummy’s shadow, bedtime cuddle buddy and the boss of the house! I still refuse to sit on her lap, but secretly love my tummy rubs… ONLY from mummy, obviously!

Western animation studios have lately become adamant that their movies should not be remotely challenging or emotionally complex because they want to be as "box office safe" as possible. It's destroying the industry and Laika seems to be one of the few voices willing to say no.
‘Big City Greens’ storyboard artist Gabi Rodea encourages parents to have their children see ‘Wildwood’ for its mature storytelling.
“Big studios like Disney and Paramount want to sanitize stories, effectively training children not to think about sadness or fear. Wildwood is for kids to be inspired by how they feel when they see a great movie.”
