Certainty isn't required. Courage is. Sometimes, making a decision can be incredibly difficult, especially when you have too many options, too few options, or simply not enough information to make an informed choice. One thing I've learned in life is that you never truly know whether a decision you've made is the right one or the wrong one until you've lived with its consequences. Some of my decisions have brought me incredible wins. Others have resulted in devastating failures that I'm still paying the price for today. But there's one thing I've never done, and that's shy away from something I genuinely wanted. And I never will. If I want something out of this life, and I mean really want it, I will go after it. Regardless of whether the world tries to tear me apart or every odd is stacked against me, I will keep going. Whether I succeed or fail, I would rather pursue something that matters to me than spend the rest of my life wondering what could have been. Does that mean every decision I make is a good one? Absolutely not. I've made some terrible ones. I've trusted the wrong people, taken risks that didn't pay off, and walked into situations that cost me more than I ever imagined. But I've also experienced incredible things because I had the courage to take those chances. And that's the thing about life. You cannot expect to experience everything it has to offer if you're only willing to make decisions when the outcome is guaranteed. You need to try. You need to take chances. And if something has the potential to make you genuinely happy, bring you joy, or give your life meaning, you owe it to yourself to at least explore it. Fear has a way of killing dreams before they ever have the opportunity to become reality. It convinces people to settle, to wait, to overthink, and to convince themselves that maybe someday will be a better time. But someday isn't guaranteed either. I'm not saying you should be reckless or ignore the consequences of your decisions. I'm saying that sometimes, even after weighing every possible outcome, you still have to find the courage to make a choice. Because you can do everything right and still fail. Just as you can take a chance against all odds and end up changing your entire life for the better. At least I can look back at my life and say I tried. I took the risks. I chased what I wanted. I succeeded, I failed, and I paid the price when things went wrong. And despite everything, I would rather carry the lessons of my failures than the regret of never having tried. I've built a business. I've watched it grow. I've made decisions I believed were right at the time, and I've also watched everything I worked so hard for fall apart. And I'm not going to sit here and pretend that every failure was beyond my control. Some things were. Others were the consequences of my own decisions, miscalculations, and trusting that things would work out when the numbers were telling a different story. One of the hardest things about being a business owner is accepting responsibility when things go wrong, especially when other people are affected by your decisions. I've learned that passion doesn't pay salaries. Ambition doesn't guarantee revenue. Working harder doesn't always fix a business that's financially struggling. And sometimes, no matter how much you've invested emotionally, financially, or physically, you have to accept that something is no longer sustainable. Losing a business is more than losing money. It's losing years of work, relationships, opportunities, confidence, and sometimes even a part of your identity. But here's what I've also learned: You can lose a business without losing your ability to build one. I'm not sharing these lessons because I've suddenly figured everything out. I'm sharing them because I've lived through the consequences of getting things wrong. I'm still learning. I'm still rebuilding. And this time, I'm approaching business with a very different understanding of what it actually takes to keep one alive. I don't regret being ambitious. I regret the things I didn't understand soon enough. Success taught me what was possible. Failure taught me what was necessary.
