Yeah I want to stress this: it's not just what Hawthorn is paid, what's not paid, or what goes against us... it's both sides, and baffling is absolutely the word for it. #AFLWSunsHawks

Superb win. I was worried early in the game; from the jump it seemed like the Suns were hungrier. But our Hawks dug deep and hunted their opponents all day. To finish with +31 tackles is awesome. That's the will to win right there. Flockart with 13 tackles, by the way. I think our efficiency going forward was also key. Efficiency I50 was 57.6%, to the Suns' 29.4%. Clearly we took our chances when we had them. But I think even more credit goes to our backline, who got hammered by Gold Coast for long stretches throughout that contest. Still, they held firm. Richardson with 11 marks was outstanding. Literally my only note for our defenders: gotta rein in the switch sometimes. I'm guessing it's a gameplan thing, but we were exposed over and over again trying it. Coughed up two easy goals. Wales was huge again. And West is in the form of her life, it seems. I had grave fears for our midfield when Bates got sidelined, but West - and indeed her teammates - have steadied the ship nicely. Stone with 2 goals and 21 touches, what a force she's become. That's our first ever AFLW finals win. Onto the semi-finals now, to play Carlton @ Ikon Park this Saturday night. Shapes as a ripper of a game. Carn Hawks! #AFLWSunsHawks
