This is the order: 1. It’s the corruption. The rampant criminality - much of it at the expense of national security, 2. It’s the masked men, snatching our neighbors off the streets and disappearing them. 3. It’s the illegal war. 4. It’s the techbro enabling & boot-licking, especially the sacrifice of our sacred land and natural resources for their AI fantasy of becoming gods. 5. It’s the exhaustion from a shameless culture war only one side is violently waging, while playing pearl-clutching victims. 6. It’s the Epstein Files, and the cabinet/coterie filled with rapists. 7. It’s the tacky decor, and all that’s being destroyed to spread it around like a gilded veneral disease. 8. And it’s that voters recognize that 1-7 above is what’s made everything unaffordable for us, while lavishing riches (from our hard earned tax dollars) on men who think themselves kings, and the women who enable them. It’s that we know the stakes. We know them, because we’re living them. And because everyone who we just elected - and the media eco-system that is supposed to keep us informed, all said in unison that our very nation, and democracy itself, was on the line. After the epic failure of Merrick Garland, we now know full well that if our newly elected majorities don’t start with #1, all is lost. Speaker of the House and Senate majority leader must be aligned. Call your reps. Make our voices heard loud and clear.

Let’s be clear: Trump’s decision to elevate Stephen Miller to Chief of Staff is a deliberate doubling down on the very agenda that just cost Republicans their biggest electoral defeat in 50 years.

Why should Congressional Democrats investigate corporate America if their mandate is to deliver real economic change? Because investigations are a key catalyst for securing reform and legislation. For much of the last century, Congress used to be the main institutional player working to secure an economy that serves working people. A key tool was oversight. Lawmakers routinely investigated complex markets and major corporations, identifying problems and exposing wrongdoing. A major goal of these investigations was to learn what was driving certain problems and figure out how to fix them. After Democrats took back the House during the first Trump administration in 2019, I joined the House Judiciary Committee as a staffer on the Antitrust Subcommittee. Under the terrific leadership of @RepJerryNadler and then-Rep @davidcicilline, we pursued an 18-month investigation into Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google, securing key evidence of how their business practices were undermining competition and harming people, setting the basis for both lawsuits and proposed legislation. A few lessons from that experience: 1. The quality of legislative oversight depends on the staff and the support of top members to confront power. Committee and Subcommittee Chairs that are focused on getting answers and unafraid to take on powerful corporate interests will make the difference between oversight that doesn’t surrender to their evasion tactics and oversight that aims low or flames out. Even a relatively small number of dogged, talented lawyers ready to dive in can make a big impact. In the 1930s a single congressional lawyer, Ferdinand Pecora, helped reshape our entire banking system by subpoenaing records and interrogating top financiers, including J.P Morgan. The investigation exposed self-dealing, market manipulation, and tax avoidance, and laid the groundwork for foundational New Deal legislation, including the Glass-Steagall Act and the Securities Exchange Act. 2. Eliminating bottlenecks to moving investigations forward is key. For example, the House should make sure that Subcommittee Chairs can issue subpoenas rather than needing the sign-off of the full Committee or its Chair. A credible threat of sending subpoenas is critical for credible oversight. 3. Ensuring that members can develop the muscle to effectively interrogate CEOs requires investing in real preparation. In the lead up to the hearing with Bezos, Pichai, Cook, and Zuckerberg, the Antitrust Subcommittee spent months reviewing millions of documents collected from the firms, interviewing affected parties, briefing members on key evidence, and conducting practice hearings. Members came into the hearing deeply informed and able to rebut and call out CEO dissembling. The result was some of the most effective member questioning of executives we’ve seen in decades. @TheProspect wrote up a great overview: prospect.org/2020/07/30/triu… 4. For decades, institutional capacity in Congress has been extremely weak. Much of this traces back to the Gingrich Revolution, which was effectively the 1995 DOGE-ing of Congress. Republican leadership fired over 600 professional staffers, eliminated the Office of Technology Assessment, and gutted research capacity. None of that capacity was ever meaningfully restored. As a result, members have way fewer resources to develop serious expertise or go deep on a new topic. Members should start rebuilding that capacity so the institution can fully play its Article I role, where Congress can again do serious policy development and legislating and serve as a real check on the executive and judicial branches. 5. AI markets should be high on the list of investigations. The business decisions of the major AI firms have huge public ramifications, yet the public is at a severe informational disadvantage when it comes to how these markets work and the choices these firms are making. A congressional investigation will help ensure future legislative action is based on a more complete view of what is going on rather than selective and partial corporate disclosures.

If a MAGA voter is bewildered today, perhaps he should stop making a meme calling his opponents “fake and gay,” delete the post declaring that Indian Americans worship demons, turn off the podcast that’s shrieking at him that every person who votes Democratic is a heretic, and take a very long and thoughtful look in the mirror. Donald Trump is to blame, but no one — absolutely no one — made you imitate him. nytimes.com/2026/11/05/opini…

Love to hear this but #1 priority should be bringing prices down and ending the war in that order the criminal pedophile is done in 2 years
It's time to restore the rule of law in America and end all the presidential lawlessness. Trump’s DOJ is responsible for: -Covering up the murders of Alex Pretti and Renée Good by DHS agents -Trying to indict and prosecute dozens of innocent Americans to cover up for Trump’s own massive crimes and policy debacles -Granting the Trump family a SUPER pardon while trying to set up a $1.776 billion slush fund for violent insurrectionists and partisan foot soldiers Accountability is coming.

Trump's decline has exacerbated in recent days. It's gotten to the point where he can't say a single thing - literally, not a single thing - that's not either a provably false narrative, a gaffe, a laughable hyperbole, or a declarative statement about a vanity project that voters do not care about. The fact that so many still pay attention to him as if he is lucid, competent, and worth listening to, brings me to the sensitive subject NOBODY wants to discuss, which is: It's now become sadly obvious that, along with the deep political divide in this country, there is also, quite clearly, a distinct intellectual divide. Even I rarely speak about this, partly because it's often said that the Left can be condescending. (For any MAGA reading this, that means we talk down to people.)

🚨 I call on Gov. Abbott to IMMEDIATELY convene a special session to REIN IN EXECUTIVE EMERGENCY POWERS… before Gina Hinojosa is sworn in! Republicans lost last night, but Democrats were not sworn in. We still have total power in Texas, and we must act like it by using the remaining ten weeks to restore separation of powers and limit the emergency powers that Governor-Elect Hinojosa is set to inherit, which would allow her to destroy liberty in Texas by executive fiat. I’ve warned since I was first elected that NO governor, Republican or Democrat, should have unchecked emergency powers! Now that Texas has elected a Democrat Governor, the urgency is undeniable… and inaction is intolerable. Without action, Governor Hinojosa will inherit the powers of a DICTATOR. Due to the absurd (and almost certainly unconstitutional) Texas emergency powers laws, Gov. Hinojosa will literally have the power to modify laws, ignore laws, or create and enforce laws – including criminal laws – on a whim! Today is a day for ACTION, and bold leadership. The Texas Legislature must immediately pass, and Governor Abbott must sign, legislation like HB911, which I filed in 2022 and warned at the time, that “Never ending emergency powers are antithetical to representative government and render people powerless. Legislative bodies allowing a single executive branch official to both write and enforce laws is the biggest threat to our constitutional system of divided government and should be opposed irrespective of which political party runs the executive branch.” My legislation would protect liberty from executive fiat by, among other things, taking the following actions: 1. Prohibit the Governor from suspending or modifying statutes 2. Sunset emergency orders in 30 days if the legislature does not ratify the order 3. Prohibit the governor from reissuing emergency orders that expired or the legislature rejected 4. Require emergency orders to be narrowly tailored 5. Subject emergency orders to expedited judicial review We have TEN WEEKS LEFT to protect Texas from near total Democrat rule. I encourage every elected Republican in Texas to join my demand for Gov. Abbott to call a special session. The future of liberty in America is literally on the line in Texas, and Texans deserve leadership that acts accordingly. @GregAbbott_TX

Trump is a lame duck who lost the ability to appoint judges. Elon Musk tossed almost $500 million down the drain. Democrats won a big enough Senate majority to make Fetterman irrelevant. Mike Johnson will be forgotten. MAGA faced such a major defeat it can't ignore that it is a dying movement America is ready to put in the rearview. That was an impressive midterm election.

1 million views. Before I published this video, I spoke with multiple production studios about a potential documentary. They all passed because it was "too niche" or wouldn't get wide viewership. So I bought a $700 camera and filmed it in my apartment.
