Anybody else getting tired of this Luka schtick?

My biggest takeaway tonight: Bulls fans aren't ready for the reality of what this season is going to be. I knew there would be overreactions, but this is next level for game 1, year 1 of a rebuild.

Not sure why Giddey, or any starters should still be in the game at this point

Worth noting m that the Raptors could very well be the best defensive team in the league this season after adding Kawhi. A rough match up for the Bulls to start the season. Still…..Bulls gotta be better. Their transition defense has been atrocious

I’ve never cried during a basketball game, but this might do it
For season opener on @CHSN__ , Adam Amin (@adamamin) wanted to pay tribute to Stacey King in a special way. He will call PxP in 1st quarter without an analyst, letting some silence honor Stacey, a singular voice. Our guy Robbie Hummel (@RobbieHummel) will join 2nd quarter

This is where Norman Powell’s contract could come in handy in exchange for a first round pick. Don’t think the Bulls would do it this early, but worth keeping an eye on
Golden State has started exploring trade routes for Kristaps Porzingis, who is now seriously contemplating his future in basketball as he deals with recurring symptoms from the autoimmune condition termed as POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), sources tell ESPN.

Crazy how quickly teams are giving up on first round picks. In the current CBA environment and player longevity being extended, the value of mid to late first round picks are going to slowly decline over time
The Memphis Grizzlies are waiving 2025 No. 18 pick Walter Clayton Jr. and Micah Peavy, sources tell ESPN.

He was my unlikely dark horse for the Bulls to steal away as a RFA. Smart on the Thunder to not let him get there and run the risk of losing him
Just in: Oklahoma City Thunder All-Defensive guard Cason Wallace has agreed to a five-year, $139 million rookie-scale contract extension, agents Jeff Schwartz, Max Lipsett and Marcus Monk of Excel Sports Management tell ESPN.

My only counter to this is who’s to say Giddey has hit his ceiling? He just turned 24 and has continued to show improvement the last two seasons particularly with his shooting, finishing at the rim and getting to the line more. I get the skepticism, but it’s becoming a lazy take
I see folks are upset with @Jason1Goff & @SBN_Ricky on their comments about Josh Giddey. I have a connect with an NBA scout and asked him what his thoughts are on Giddey. His sentiments was the same. The league does not view him as a premier player. Also Jeff Teague has said similar things on @club520podcast

Don’t agree with this take, but what I also don’t understand is why this is so critical for the Bulls to figure out rn? There are levels to this. They have time to figure out who to best put around Caleb/Matas. Josh Giddey is a flawed player, but who are you replacing him with?
"The Bulls are not going to be a serious team until they find a guard better than Josh Giddey." - @SBN_Ricky Lots of Bulls insight on yesterday's @Jason1Goff Unscripted.

The NBA thinking they can use Mexico City as leverage is hilarious. There is zero chance expansion would ever happen there
Seattle is no longer considered a lock for an NBA expansion team, Adam Silver has informed team owners, per @WindhorstESPN. The league is reportedly using Mexico City as a potential alternative to pressure Seattle’s bidding group into raising its offer. (h/t @TheNBABase )
