OpenClaw helped @amirulruslan sort out his notes, assist in applying for a grant, that led to his award winning documentary, Lost In Transit. For him, it’s all about stories first, with systems that serve them. The tool matters less than the workflow, and you’ll also notice he makes use of more basic AI subs to get stuff done. You don’t need to be a tokenmaxxer to produce useful work. Keep on rocking it Amirul @prmptcity

Building personal apps is where AI shines. You don’t have to be technical. You just have to have taste. And keep on extending the app. This is Chloe Sin Yin’s app, made with Claude Code, called First Litter, to help her take care of her dog that was pregnant + her litter. So very cool @prmptcity

Senior AI product builders command a premium in Malaysia now, via Malaysian PayGap. Interesting to hear that exabytes ceo recently mentioned that for an accounting role, he hired a software engineer. We can build it all! Microsoft paper recently stated that Malaysia ranks low on AI adoption amongst the labour force, despite having the 3rd highest AI compute capacity in the world. Via Edward Yeap @prmptcity who has been using Dots to reply to a lot of his emails. A lot of QA engineers are transitioning to swe’s. They also look at entire SEA market with their data; trying to get stronger outside Malaysia.

Totally enjoyed making this deck & giving the workshop, prompt to process. How often do you think in flowcharts for the overall process, and trees for the decisions within it? We turned real jobs into repeatable AI process with clear inputs, checked outputs, and human approval before action. Your domain knowledge matters. Thank you @OpenAIDevs @AmpCode @NousResearch for the credits for participants. This video was fully cut with ChatGPT!
Say hi if you're downtown today — attending PROMPT:CITY, part of Urbanscapes, all day. I'm moderating and speaking from 4pm for the How I Solved It session! First up @joonian introducing @bytebot for his workshop

Spot on. This is also why media needs to pivot away from focusing on just press releases about funding rounds. Like who cares you raised, what were you able to achieve?
Funding rounds aren't milestones. It shouldn't be your goal to raise a series A. It should be your goal not to need to.

Awesome! I have spent a bit of time, and a chunk of my Orb usage today, using macOS Satellites, on two separate projects. Astra helped me find bugs, do QA, run builds, all without having my Mac grind to a halt! First time I think my @AmpCode Megawatt sub might not be enough.
Amp now has macOS Satellites! Agents can now spawn Macs and build, test and run your iOS and macOS applications on them. Rolling out now. ampcode.com/news/macos-satel…

Computer use with GPT-6.1 Terra High is actually quite amazing. I saw it complete a task for $0.16 in API equivalent cost, that took the fastest humans about 57-60 seconds on average. So thats $9.60/hour. $9.60/hr is about 32% above the US federal minimum wage, but 36% below $15/hr. No human worker's benefits, payroll costs, or differences in reliability or supervision. Now, Philippines minimum wages are about $1.50/hr, and I'm not sure if you get a virtual assistant for that price. Quick search suggests at least $4/hr, and via platforms $6.60/hr. However, you get the pleasure of doing this yourself, interacting with an agent over another human. No lag time.

Pretty good book review from the prime minister. I hope James Marriott also posits solutions to how we deal with a post-literate society.
Tengah hari tadi, saya sempat curi masa menekuni karya terbaharu oleh James Marriott, ‘The New Dark Ages: The End of Reading and the Dawn of a Post-Literate Society’, yang mengangkat persoalan besar dan mendesak tentang kemerosotan budaya membaca dan menelaah, kedangkalan pemikiran dan masa depan peradaban dalam era dan arus digital masa kini. Justeru, persoalannya bukan sekadar apakah manusia masih membaca, tetapi apakah manusia masih mahu berfikir. #YakinMADANI

Another win for Singapore, when Malaysia? Reminder that Malaysia has surpassed Singapore in both overall data center capacity, and the total number of facilities, to date. Planned capacity is also easily 10x.
hello! 你好! apa khabar! வணக்கம்! no better place for a multitasker than a country with four official languages. now in Singapore: muse.ai 🇸🇬

The network is the computer. Sun Microsystems was truly ahead of its time (or we’re seeing the cycle return)
12 months ago 100% of my coding was done locally against my computer's filesystem now ~5% is done locally, my computer is a conduit to download and upload files to cloud agents most days my iPad and iPhone are all I need and I'm getting 50x more work done than I was a year ago

Grok Bot got smarter. Customer service on X (née Twitter) used to be a huge thing. It might just come back to being huge. And for the rest of us, I think bookmark tidying, and being more proactive with DMs (including filtering out junk) can be a huge productivity boost.
Last week, we removed the need for a developer account and X API credits to use the X connector in Grok Bot Ask @bot to manage your bookmarks, go over your DMs, or draft an article for you free of additional charge

Do we know how OpenAI Dots will handle chat length limits? Because they do exist and get enforced, even if it feels almost limitless

This reads to me as Marco is coming back to X. Gruber made that move not long ago, as did Federico. I think we’re going to see a lot more Apple first content here. And that’s a good thing.

Hear @joonian on @BFMradio on PROMPT:KL at Urbanscapes: AI for Non-Techies. Come thru, fun workshops & talks. Real life applications. I think people need to remember, you keep the craft, AI takes the admin away from you. Intelligence Amplification! bfm.my/content/podcast/promp…

Does anyone know who is advising Anwar this poorly? Waze has been around since 2009. Acquired by Google since 2013. FWIW, the open source project, FreeMap Israel is the precursor to Waze.

Weird codex error: Error: account/read failed during TUI bootstrap: account/read failed: failed to load workspace requirements: other error (code -32603) The fix was: codex app-server daemon restart This was with latest 0.164.0. Also had to hit ctrl+c to get out, it would not respond to /quit

Highly recommended.
An update here: we’re upgrading all Codex for OSS grants to Pro 200! There will still be the 10,000 grants in this round, now at the higher tier. (If you've already received a grant, the upgrade should be reflected automatically.) Applications are still open :)

Considering Wordpress, drupal, etc are powered by PHP, I’d estimate PHP powers 70-75% of the web. Let’s not forget all the EOL stuff that’s also running out there. Important time for an update for sure.
The PHP security team is giving advance notice: Upcoming security release Wed, Oct 21st 2026, 14:00UTC, two critical vulnerabilities, both rated CVSSv4 9.2. PHP users are encouraged to prepare to update. Earlier release if details become public or active exploit evidence.

Would read this. Foursquare, and Swarm, are great apps. 17 years. I think there are still many loyal DAUs. I hope Swarm survives, think of all that history.
Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…

Tibo is teaching the average user that one never has to worry about quotas ever again. Most definitely will want this to continue beyond 28 days. Efficiency will keep on coming, you already get so far with gpt-6.1-sol almost never budging that quota.
Day 15/ Nevermind, we're still cooking... and reset. Enjoy.
