You might think that "wrong number" text or "crypto tip" is just an annoyance. But behind that screen is a massive, 41-acre industrial complex.
As Secretary Landau recently highlighted, scam centers like Tai Chang in Burma are modern-day "crime factories" employing tens of thousands of people. Many of these workers are victims themselves—trafficked and forced to scam others under threat of violence.
The Impact: 🇺🇸 $10 Billion scammed from Americans in 2024. 🇲🇾 Thousands of Malaysians at risk of being lured into forced labor by fake "high-paying" job ads.
What we're doing: The U.S. Embassy and the Malaysian government are strengthening regional cooperation to dismantle these networks.
Protect yourself: If a job offer or an investment sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I don't know what they are doing over there, but Codex will continue to be available both in the FREE and PLUS ($20) plans. We have the compute and efficient models to support it. For important changes, we will engage with the community well ahead of making them.

OpenClaw and Pi together are in the top 10 of all time software breakthroughs.
folks who are calling @openclaw pure hype are telling on themselves
openclaw is like the early internet, it's raw, unrefined, and takes a little doing to get things to work, but when you figure it out, it's transformative.
here are some real use cases that are having material impact on our $2.5M ARR business:
1. ad creative pipeline. our head of growth @ArjunShukl95550 built an end-to-end creative pipeline to go from ideation to publish adds to meta, greatly increasing our creative iteration speed. it's producing winning creatives. it lives in slack, and anyone on the team can share their ideas and have them enter the pipeline.
2. data analytics agent. another bot lives in our slack that connects to bigquery and lets our team ask any questions of the data, it produces charts and answers questions in real time. no one needs to write SQL anymore.
3. recruiting. i told my agent about a role we're hiring for, and it scoured linkedin and the web, found 30 candidates, portfolio, email addresses, and stack ranked them based on fit with our criteria
this is just in the past week. i have twenty more success stories for you i can share another time.
you have to understand, this is the shittiest it will ever be. everyone is going to have one or more personal self-improving agents that they use every day, and openclaw is what revealed this future to us.
if you can't see this, i encourage you to look harder
there will be many competitors (and already are), and the large labs will start to converge on this (they already are) too.
openclaw may not win, but it opened pandora's box and uncorked the agentic future.

Folks, if you get crypto emails from websites claiming to be associated with openclaw, it's ALWAYS a scam.
We would never do that. The project is open source and non-commercial. Use the official website. Be sceptical of folks trying to build commercial wrappers on top of it.
blackpill of the year
it's been 5 weeks since moltbook's API keys leaked to the open internet in plain text. I just confirmed I can still post to moltbook with the compromised key
in order to cycle the API keys they need everyone to re-register. wonder if they disclosed to Meta that they effectively have 0 authorized users?
Huge: Meta acquired Moltbook to accelerate its push toward a future where autonomous AI agents act online for people and businesses.
By bringing the founders into Meta Superintelligence Labs, Meta gains early technology and expertise to build platforms where millions of AI assistants could interact, transact, and operate across Meta’s ecosystem (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram).

•AI advises no university: just become an idol
•ask AI before calling 911
Over the CNY holidays, I decided to build something that imho is 'peak agentic AI' 🤣 - the world's first self-evolving CTF platform! AI agents design, validate, calibrate, and evolve security challenges autonomously.

The @virtuals_io vulnerability was patched shortly after it was disclosed on X, and they've just paid a bounty for it.
Timeline
1. I took a quick look at the Virtuals structure and found a vulnerability.
2. I tried to report it on discord, but there was a problem.
3. I posted it on X.
4. They saw my post and got back to me.
5. They quickly identified and patched the vulnerability.
6. They paid a bounty.
I'm not sure, but I've been told they're going to run a new audit and bug bounty. It was a bit of a miscommunication on Discord, but they seem to be a team that cares about security.

Thank you @lj1nu for bringing this to our attention - a patch has been pushed.
Security is of the utmost importance to us - we're working on a bug bounty program and will announce full details soon.

Lydian Labs, MY Blockchain Week, and its leadership denies all the recent allegations made against us on the compromised official Malaysia Blockchain Week (@MalaysiaWeek) account on X, formerly known as Twitter. These allegations were made by a disgruntled ex-committee member who unilaterally changed the passwords of all social media accounts belonging to MYBW and added a 2-factor authentication, which allows only him to access those accounts, essentially locking out the currently operating MYBW committee. We have subsequently lodged a police report over the post and followed up with legal action.
MY Blockchain Week (MYBW) was always a labour of love and passion for the community and a way for Malaysia to make its mark in the global Web 3 sphere. It is a collective effort by a group of Web3 enthusiasts to push the initiative forward. Taking comparison of all first iterations of blockchain week events across the world, it is almost not possible to be profitable. The team was struggling to even break even in the first place, resulting in downscaling the originally planned production three times. However, we are grateful to all our sponsors, support from our Ministry of Tourism, and from the ticketing sales to help us push it through to make the dream a reality.
As 2024 marked the inaugural first MYBW to be launched, there would undoubtedly be oversight on certain aspects. However, we emphasize that all decisions made were the best possible and that all committee members would have been made aware of these decisions.
The success of MYBW 2024 has fuelled the committee’s passion to continue the event in the following year, and we are already in the midst of planning for MYBW 2025.
However, this enthusiasm has been dampened by the allegations brought up by this ex-committee. As the team has been faced with no way to resolve the issue amicably, Lydian Labs has lodged a police report against the slanderous accusations and served a legal letter of demand for this action against us, as attached.
We wish to also draw attention to the untrue statements mentioned and provide the following responses, i.e., Inflow and outflow of funds, which are captured in a centralised sheet accessible by all committees to date, including him. Our ex-committee member, John had voluntarily withdrawn himself from the position in writing, while payment for Max has been scheduled to pay off after receipt of reimbursement from myCEB, a subsidiary of Tourism Malaysia, while more have been responded to further in the document attached.
We urge this ex-committee member to return ownership of MYBW social accounts, which is an asset built and owned by MY Blockchain Week Sdn Bhd, and we want to reassure everyone that Lydian Labs and MY Blockchain Week remains committed to its mission of promoting blockchain innovation and collaboration in Malaysia and beyond. We will not be deterred by these unfounded claims and will continue working to build a vibrant and inclusive blockchain ecosystem.
The statements made by the ex-committee member in question are untrue and defamatory. This was a one-man action and not a collective one. Hence, our rights are hereby reserved if any Defamatory Statements remain unidentified. – at Damansara, Selangor
