If you breathe wrong against the Brewers a runner in scoring position appears
This team is truly terrifying beyond words
#ThisIsMyCrew
Ok I’m going to say something blasphemous now, Luis Hernandez just became the most moveable of the #SFGiants top flight SS prospects
Being a Boras client, you only get him for 6 years and then he’s hitting the market
Other guys you can work pre arb deals, that’s a no go for Boras
Also, this means nothing, but it’s the offseason so there’s nothing else to talk about
Contrary to what people want you to believe, great players ≠ smart executives
Unfortunately the Giants learned that the hard way with Buster Posey
Assuming these contracts are an accurate ballpark estimate (they’re not because it’s Bowden) these are my favorite targets for the #SFGiants
- Clay Holmes
- Trevor Rogers
- Kaima Taira
Contract predictions for the Top 20 free agents from Jim Bowden:
1) Tarik Skubal: $350-$500 million
2) Freddy Peralta: 5 years, $140 million
3) Teruaki Sato: 5 years, $180 million
4) Michael King: 4 years, $118 million
5) Randy Arozarena: 5 years, $124 million
6) Seiya Suzuki: 5 years, $120 million
7) Jake Bauers: 4 years, $56 million
8) Jazz Chisholm: 6 years, $128 million
9) Brandon Lowe: 3 years, $45 million
10) Clay Holmes: 2 years, $44 million
11) Adrian Morejon: 3 years, $42 million
12) David Bednar: 3 tears, $55 million
13) Nick Martinez: 2 years, $48 million
14) Foster Griffin: 3 years, $67 million
15) Trevor Rogers: 3 years, $64 million
16) Casey Mize: 3 years, $54 million
17) Luis Arraez: 3 years, $60 million
18) Kaima Taira: 3 years, $30 million
19) Ian Happ: 2 years, $45 million
20) Robbie Ray: 2 years, $45 million
Genuinely how the hell is Brandon Lowe a fit for the #SFGiants, the literal last thing they need is infielders. And after that the last thing they need is LHH
Also, seems inevitable that they sign an arm from Japan, hopefully they pick the right one…
Jim Bowden lists a handful of landing spots for the top-40 free agents. Among those mentioned as fits for the #SFGiants include:
No. 9 - IF Brandon Lowe
No. 10 - P Clay Holmes
No. 18 - P Kaima Taira
No. 21 - P Shota Imanaga
No. 27 - P Hiromi Itoh
Alright I was harsh on Wonders, he could be part of the solution
The background checks out, it’s just a matter of whether or not you trust this organization to join the 21st century (which is a hard right now)
Still largely hate Meccage/Anderson sticking
#SFGiants
Replying to @ImNotHuman123
One of Posey's initiatives is to "push the strength and conditioning component to coax higher-octane stuff out of their prospects," which Wonders would seem to be a great fit for, having come over from the Rays with a speciality in biomechanics
In theory, “process-based” changes sound great
I just don’t understand how you think the same terrible staff can competently carry out those changes
This organization is so frustrating man
#SFGiants
THEYRE KEEPING MECCAGE?!?!?!
Yeah this organization is cooked man, doesn’t matter who they bring in in FA on the pitching side, they will regress here
On to 2028

New Baggs article outlines coaching staff changes for the pitching group. Keeping Meccage, Wonders will transition to a focus on an "overhaul" of MiLB development, Frank Anderson demoted from Director of ML Pitching to assistant pitching coach

8 runs in one inning
All coming with 2 outs
That is the best offensive performance I’ve ever seen in October. The Brewers are a buzz saw
This Brewers team might be the best baseball team I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching
They can win in literally any way, and they just constantly have a foot on your throat
2-3 range
I really can’t point to a single thing Tony Vitello did well last year
Have to hope it gets better, but I’m not holding my breath
#SFGiants
Sal Frelick left on left to tie the game
Yeah the Brewers are the team of destiny, they’re bringing this home in 5
The #SFGiants are probably the best fit for Joe Ryan
Hometown guy, and they desperately need arms
With that being said, I still wouldn’t do it, at least not for the price Minnesota has asked in the past (and if they do it he’d need to sign an extension immediately)
I’m hanging up the phone the second they ask for Level/Hernandez/Marquez (maybe Bres as well)
And obviously Flora and Josuar are non negotiables
