NEW: Lane Kiffin on LSU-Alabama getting the 2:30 p.m. CT slot instead of the night game he expected:
"If someone thinks the SEC wants us to win this year after what’s been going on, they must have just been on Mars the last four months. So I guess when I look at it that way, I’m not surprised."

Pitch perfect response from Obama to this manufactured Cheesecake Factory outrage
OBAMA: The president wasn't even mad. About The Saddam Hussein comparison. That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about The Cheesecake Factory. He took great umbrage. He said I didn't understand the work of the artisans in the White House.
They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke.

"You hear words like 'the GOAT,' or 'icon,' or 'legend.' And they're thrown around way too easily these days. But Ernie is all three and more. I'm 65 years old, and I still look up to Ernie Johnson as a broadcaster and a man."

Huge news in NBA broadcasting.
Just an absolute class act and the host of the greatest sports studio show in history.

It probably shows what March Madness is as a property that Ernie will apparently still be parachuting in for the Final Four studio & trophy presentation but has no plans to do so for the NBA Finals.

A great host, but I’m not sure everyone knows what an amazing person Ernie Johnson is. Ernie and his wife Cheryl adopted 4 children, including his son Michael who had an incurable disease, Duchenne Muscular dystrophy. They brought Michael home from Romania after being told nobody wanted him. The Johnsons gave Michael the best life, he sadly passed in 2021. Ernie has also fought cancer twice and championed many great causes. Truly the goat.

I’ll never forget when we added Ernie Johnson to our group chat. He responded in it all game. He also shout us out at half time.
When the game was over he left the chat. But for that brief 3 hour span he was one of us 🐐

That was Herbstreit's biggest PR mistake, far worse than any football-specific opinion over his incredibly influential ESPN career. Came off as completely inauthentic. Wonder if he'd like a mulligan.
Last month, Kirk Herbstreit said he doesn't follow politics or pick sides.
Which was nonsense. Just last week, Herbstreit quietly headlined a fundraising dinner for Alabama's second-biggest PAC.
The next day, it sent $155,000 to Tommy Tuberville.

I hope I’m done seeing any Joe Davis slander.
The dude paid homage to Ueck on what was nearly the organization’s most important HR ever, then SHORTLY AFTER predicted TB having a chance against Drohan. Only to cap it off with a late night hat tip to Jack/Joe Buck.
