The SEC is 6-1 against teams slotted higher in their conference than the SEC team is in there’s.
Who are the top 3 wins for the SEC? Other than OSU…

Strength of Schedule based on games played (x axis) and games left to go (y axis). Teams below the trend line have an easier road going forward. SOS calculated with power ratings

Interesting info provided by the SEC: The SEC leads the nation with a 10-2 record vs. A4 non-conference opponents.

SEC bias is the opposite of what you think it is. Penn state, Washington, & Michigan were all clearly overrated in real time preseason but you think the whole big 10 is elite now. Oregon too, their last loss was a beat down to Indy just like Bama had, never heard about it.

Big Ten presidents and chancellors will meet Wednesday to review and possibly adopt conference cap rules that align with the framework of the Protect College Sports Act, sources tell @YahooSports - a first step in preparing schools for the bill’s passage.

Here's the #MetricsConsensus most deserving for 2016, after the CCGs ... The committee absolutely nailed it. The torture that ESPN / @KirkHerbstreit subjected Washington fans to was not warranted. " I think it should be Penn State ... because of THE WAY they won ..."
2026 Wk 10 #MetricsConsensus most deserving Kentucky & UCLA ... wow.

“We suck so I’m just going to get ready for the draft” I hate everything “college” football has become….
NEWS: Oregon coach Dan Lanning announces that star quarterback Dante Moore is not expected to play the rest of the season. He hasn’t played since suffering a concussion against USC on Sept. 26. Moore returned to Oregon for 2026 after projecting as a top pick in the NFL Draft.

A bottom sec team in ms state went up to Minnesota and 30 pieced them that’s why. Quit all the crying bullshit
"Iowa falling from #15 to out of the rankings after a 3 point loss to 4-2 Minnesota is stupid. They would never do that to a SEC team" youtube.com/live/xNUBwBqK9j4…

And this isn’t just a 2026 thing. Going back to 2021, the SEC has consistently outperformed the other power conferences in non-conference P4 games. Adjusting for opponent strength doesn’t change that conclusion. The SEC still comes out on top.
The SEC is 10-2 in non-conf P4 games. Big 12 is 6-7. Hope that helps.

Texas Tech will play 0 ranked teams in the regular season, 0 P4s OOC. They have ugly wins already vs Houston and Colorado. They're ranked 8th, will lose today to a mid Cincy team and drop to like 11th. This is why they had to go to 24.

The units view in the super conferences era confirms what is broadly understood ... SEC, clear #1, best on both sides of the ball B10, clear #2, capable of matching SEC on D B12, clear #3, capable of matching B10 on O ACC, clear #4 #5, a fight b/w AAC & P12 MWC plays good G6 D
The SEC is having one of the best seasons in CFB history. There is plenty of non-conference play left, but as of today, among 857 conference:seasons since 1946, the 2026 SEC ranks ... 6th in average #MetricsConsensus score 4th in % of the league to be ranked
