So there we have it. Probably the highest day ever in the BM at over £52 million
The final number tends to be a bit higher than the trading figure reported by LCP
This is what Connect & Manage has done... We spent £52 million because we had to throw away wind in Scotland that we built despite knowing we can't use it
Plus NESO not curtailing it before the DA auction meaning instead of gas plant self dispatching it has to be bid on in the BM

We are paying far too much for electricity because wind & solar have to be subsidised & backed up with imported electricity & gas.
Net zero added £140.3bn to Britain's electricity bills in 2002–24: £2,286 for the average household. Modelled, in 2024 prices. Nobody official counts it. Parliament should require a yearly statement, with data anyone can check.

They could have used natural methyl folate instead, but it was more expensive. The 'gov' know exactly what they're doing, and know that manufacturers will always choose the cheapest option, not that I think they were given the choice! All about the £££ profits!

This is just not true. As soon as I became foreign secretary I asked the security services the same question and they replied that there was no evidence of any successful interference in the 2016 referendum, by Russia or any other power.
Either the security services have changed their view - which would be very odd - or Burnham is lying about what he has been told. After all Starmer was in power for two years and had access to exactly the same information.

Andy Burnham received a stark warning about net zero targets and Nissan’s future as a car manufacturer in the UK shortly before he became prime minister. The Japanese company wrote to him saying: “Political instability cannot be an excuse for shifting the goalposts for the UK’s most valuable exporting industry,”
and warned that future investment could depend on net zero policies being watered down. Nissan’s Sunderland factory is the UK’s single largest car assembly plant.
