What are @MemorialU Geographers up to in the summer? The @CLEAR_Lab_ hosts a weekly virtual writing room where lab members join from across six (!) time zones to write together. Writing is a big part of many researchers' work & CLEAR folks enjoy writing in a collective space!

ALT Screenshot of five CLEAR lab members who are meeting over Zoom for the CLEAR lab's weekly Writing Room. Each participant is in their own square on the screen. From top left to right the names are: Christina Crespo (she/her); Sam Morton (she/her); Riley (he/him). On the bottom from left to right are Mel Flynn and Paul McCarney (he/him).

It's easy to put labels like 'decolonising science', 'value-based research' and others in scientific endeavours. But, what does it really look like? What practical steps can researchers take towards doing such values based science? Why does it all matter?
