I’m a driver. You won the culture war. No matter the data, your data, the facts and what the doctors warned you - you won. Congratulations. I’m sure the certain broken bones, lives lost and zero change in congestion is beside the point. I hope you’re very proud of your work. @PrabSarkaria

Worse hallway medicine in Ontario grossly outpaced population growth. The vast majority of newcomers are young and healthy. In medical practise (and in data) blaming newcomers is an invalid talking point. By @AidanChamandy @Thetrilliumca

Ending hallway healthcare was one of @fordnation’s hallmark promises. New data shows it has become one of his hallmark failures.
Who would have thought that underfunding hospitals and firing nurses might do that?

When we talk about hallway nursing, it’s easy to talk about numbers, beds and staffing. But there are human beings behind those numbers. A patient who deserves privacy, dignity and safe care. We need to stop normalizing conditions that are unsafe.
We need action. #onpoli

Pffttt… who cares if we’re importing electricity from the US … finally those bike lanes are being torn out.

Save the Bike Lane. @fordnation knows they are safer
Doug Ford’s war on bike lanes isn’t about traffic—it’s part of a global right-wing backlash to vilify urban residents and defend fossil fuel interests
@TheBreachMedia dove into the politics of cycling, and debunked some of the myths along the way

If you live outside of Toronto, the Ontario government is blowing $50 million of you tax dollars on ripping bike lanes out of Toronto. This is money that could be spent on keeping your local hospital's ER open or fixing your local school's roof.

Ontario, we need to talk about nursing workload. One nurse caring for 7–8 patients on a shift while also managing increasingly complex patients and, in some cases, providing care in hallways. This isn’t just about nurses being tired. Workload and staffing affect patient safety, quality of care and nurse wellbeing. We cannot continue to normalize conditions that leave nurses stretched beyond what is sustainable.
We need to take action.

I'm going to make it plain and simple what is the cardinal sin plaguing Ontario ERs before Premier Ford and during his tenure:
1) We lack hospital beds for admitted patients.
2) We lack hospital beds for admitted patients.
3) We lack hospital beds for admitted patients.
Ontario is taking action to reduce wait times and improve the patient experience in emergency departments with the launch of the Emergency Department Action Team.

Hey @fordnation Where’s the bailout ? Good paying jobs ?
"12 Ontario hospital networks, including Scarborough Health Network, North York General Hospital and The Ottawa Hospital collectively increased their borrowing capacity from the previous year by close to $460 million." Just to continue to function.

#BREAKING: Debris from missing Ontario-based air ambulance located, U.S. Coast Guard says cp24.com/news/2026/10/04/deb…
Not just adverse events. Preventable suffering when new patients arrive in pain, distress, vomiting etc and there are no nurses to take care of them while they suffer in the waiting room
Let’s be clear. When they say patients in hallways, that means emergency room hallways, which means all the real ER beds are full. That means when you come with your loved one, in an “emergency” you are stuck in a waiting room. Also ER understaffed !! Recent cutbacks …

As the baby boom generation ages and hits the Ontario hospital system FAO predicts declining capacity. The number of patients on stretchers in hospital hallways will more than double. This government promised to end hallway medicine.
The situation in Canada’s ER’s is dire. Overcrowding, understaffing is dangerous, and inhumane. The weight always falls on the nurses, who try and make it work. It’s bad. It’s really bad
