Alpenglow is coming to testnet this week. 🧵
Testnet exercises the exact migration devnet and mainnet-beta will run.
The Alpenglow community cluster rehearsed the migration numerous times and has been running Alpenglow for over 4 months.
Now Alpenglow moves to the formal activation path.
Reminder: dedicated devices matter
If you're building on Monad, look into the dedicated device subsidy program 👇
Introducing the Monad dedicated device subsidy program
Monad Foundation will be subsidizing the cost of dedicated signing laptops, for multisig, treasury, and other critical operations, to all protocol teams with at least $2.5M of TVL on Monad.
Your signing machine should NEVER be the same as the one you use for everyday browsing, coding, or taking calls.

Yesterday, Sui experienced a prolonged disruption due to an internal divergence in validator consensus processing causing a network stall for approximately six hours.
The team identified the issue, implemented a fix, and validators elected to upgrade to it so normal consensus could resume, bringing the network back to fully operational performance.
While this interruption was unintended, it confirmed Sui’s safety-focused architecture did what it was designed to do: protect the network. We thank you for your patience.

Sui Mainnet is currently experiencing a network stall, and the Sui Core team is actively working on a solution. Be aware that dApps such as Slush or SuiScan may not be available, and transactions may be slow or temporarily unable to process at this time. Updates will be shared as soon as they are available.

BREAKING: After 3 years of development, Firedancer is now live on Solana Mainnet, and has been running on a handful of validators for 100 days, successfully producing 50,000 blocks 🔥💃

Monad is a Layer-1 blockchain delivering high performance, true decentralization, and EVM compatibility.
Its north star is making decentralization more powerful, and eliminating the perceived tradeoff between decentralization and performance.
Monad supports a large globally distributed network, with intentionally minimal hardware requirements so that anyone may run a node. Performance comes from software architecture improvements rather than reliance on heavy hardware or node colocation.
The network is live with 170 validators in 27 countries, 53 cities. Zero validators ran by the monad foundation
The validators are ran on consumer grade hardware:
- CPU: 16 core CPU with 4.5 GHz+ base clock speed, e.g. AMD Ryzen 9950x, AMD Ryzen 7950x, AMD EPYC 4584PX, etc.
- Memory: 32 GB+ RAM
- Storage: 2TB dedicated disk for TrieDB (Execution), 500GB Disk for MonadBFT / OS, PCIe Gen4x4 NVME SSD or better for both - Bandwidth:300 Mbit/s (Validators), 100 Mbit/s (Full Nodes)
Its codebase is fully open source (consensus, execution) and is built for extreme performance in C++ and rust.
Notably, Monad introduces novel architectures in five major areas:
- MonadBFT, a frontier BFT consensus mechanism solving the tail-forking problem
- RaptorCast for efficient block transmission
- Asynchronous Execution for pipelining consensus and execution to raise the time budget for execution
- Parallel Execution and JIT Compilation for efficient transaction execution
- MonadDb for efficient storage of Ethereum state
Monad's improvements address existing bottlenecks while preserving seamless compatibility for application developers (full EVM bytecode compatibility) and users (Ethereum RPC API compatibility).
The result is an open source Ethereum-compatible Layer-1 blockchain built from scratch with 10,000 tps of throughput, 400ms block frequency, and 800ms finality.
Ethereum launched in 2015.
Monad launched in 2025.

Today Monad Mainnet is live with 170 Validators in the active set!
A huge thank you to all of these Monad legends, we have built this chain together 🫡
