For those who didn't go to night 1 in Atlanta of the Usher and Chris Brown R&B Tour, here's an honest recap of what happened/didn't happen:
Showtime was 7:30, historically started around 8:45/8:50, but this night started right after 10.
During that time, the DJ was doing his best to keep the crowd entertained showing an infinite amount of baddies throwing ass, freaked out exhibitionist couples, lit white people, and keeping the music going all the while. Shout out to him because there were times he looked stressed and I don't blame him.
The show was no where near sold out. This was the 5th show that was added and had the cheapest seats. The shows for the other nights were 2-3x the price for the same exact seats. It was still a good overall turnout.
The two artists were never on the stage at the same time the entire night. They didn't acknowledge each other at all throughout the show either, it really was like 2 separate shows sharing the same venue.
There were moments where the audio wasn't great, but it was not unbearable by any means. Audio is always a challenge in Mercedes Benz.
Both artists did fantastic during their sets! Everyone who was on that stage was going full out which was appreciated.
Ti and Young Dro made a surprise appearance during one of Usher's acts and had a pretty lengthy multi song set together. Considering the stadium curfew and the late start time? More of the missing acts of the tour could have made it in if this was shorter, but if there really is beef? Shout out to TI and Dro for filling in so there wouldn't be a shorter show. They had the stadium rocking and provided the good duo energy we weren't going to get from the main events that night.
Usher had a segment to celebrate Keisha Lance Bottoms and spotlight her in the audience and it looked as though she was not in her seat at the time.
Eric Bellinger got to perform solo for a bit but there were no Mario or Tank segments this time.
There is historically a dj break before Act 8 in the show. It looked like this was started but then cut abruptly which led to some confusion.
Usher told the city goodnight on his final song and people were confused and started to leave, then Chris literally flew in after Usher was gone and performed his final songs and said goodnight separately.
Even though they both did great separately? The lack of partnership was obvious and everyone felt it. That plus the long start time were major disappointments. I hope they can put whatever is going on aside for the remainder of the tour so they can at least share the stage together

Since Buc-ee’s said they won't do business in blue states, I expect a press release today saying they are closing up shop in Arizona and Texas. 😁🤷

We’re not talking enough about how the median age of our elected officials absolutely plummeted last night. I know y’all saw the new Iowa Governor Rob Sand shredding on his skateboard. He’s 44. Talarico is 37. El-Sayed is 42. About damn time for younger leadership. LFG! 🤘🏻

In 2018, Brian Kemp ran for governor of Georgia. He was also the man running the election.
As Secretary of State, his office had canceled nearly 670,000 voter registrations in 2017 alone. Then, weeks before Election Day, it froze 53,000 more under a rule called "exact match." A missing hyphen. A dropped initial. That was enough. Nearly 70% of those frozen applications belonged to Black Georgians, in a state that's about 32% Black.
Stacey Abrams lost by about 55,000 votes.
She didn't wait for the next race. She built Fair Fight and went to work in every one of Georgia's 159 counties. She recruited poll watchers, ran registration drives, and took the system to court.
Georgia organizers registered more than 800,000 new voters.
Two years later, Georgia went blue for president for the first time since 1992. Two months after that, it sent two Democrats to the U.S. Senate and handed them control of the chamber.
Last night Jon Ossoff won re-election. Keisha Lance Bottoms became the first Democrat elected governor of Georgia since 1998. Tanya Miller became the state's first woman attorney general.

For those that don't get Southern English, "bless her heart" is a loaded term that combines "I'm sorry" "That's crazy" "Hope they get better" "That dumbass" "Imma pray for them" 😭
It's the funniest response tbh
I know everyone is gonna focus on Black women being unwavering (and we should), but for all the shit talked about Black men, they are MILES ahead of other men. That is a big deal.
