LABUAN, 30 Oktober 2026 – Menteri Pertahanan, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin telah menyaksikan ketibaan pesawat pejuang ringan FA-50M pertama Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dari Korea Selatan yang melakukan transit di Pangkalan Udara Labuan sebelum meneruskan penerbangan ke Pangkalan Udara Kuantan. Dalam lawatan tersebut, beliau telah menerima taklimat mengenai keupayaan dan proses penghantaran pesawat daripada Pegawai Memerintah No. 15 Skuadron, Mejar Mohd Jamil bin Awang TUDM, sebelum meninjau pesawat serta berinteraksi bersama juruterbang yang terlibat. Perolehan 18 buah pesawat FA-50M bernilai hampir RM4 bilion daripada Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) merupakan langkah strategik dalam pemodenan aset TUDM. Baki 17 buah pesawat dijadualkan diterima secara berperingkat sehingga tahun 2028. Pesawat ini akan ditempatkan di Pangkalan Udara Kuantan bagi memperkukuh kesiapsiagaan operasi, keupayaan latihan serta pembangunan kepakaran juruterbang tempur negara, selaras dengan Teras 1 Pelan Strategik Pertahanan Negara (PSPN) 2026–2030. Turut hadir, Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Pertahanan, YBhg. For now, every interceptor Europe can use against a missile in space is American or US-Israeli, and comes with American export restrictions. On Wednesday, Ukraine and the Netherlands said they had started work on an air defense project called Bliksem. That is also the name of a European interceptor a Dutch-led consortium plans to test in space in 2027, built for missiles like Russia's Oreshnik. Zelenskyy didn't say whether the two are the same project.
