“Every possible -ism and -phobia and moral impropriety has been ascribed to me since I began my largely pro-bono career as an internet girl,” writes Ivy Wolk.
In a new essay, the 22-year-old comedian and actor reflects on the way her dark thoughts about her own self-image are interpreted as “soulless edgelord fare” — and all the times she’s been canceled since she started posting her comedy online as a teen, including when children once decided en masse that she was a “whorish foil” to a famous friend of hers.
“As much as I wish for anonymity or a slate wipe sometimes, I am grateful for the perspective I’ve aggregated and the ways in which I have been challenged never to abandon my beliefs and my unbounding love for other people,” Wolk writes. “It cannot harden me, it cannot isolate me from community, and it cannot remove me from public life.”

To be a journalist is to spend your entire career simultaneously aspiring to work at the New York Times and deeply resenting it for stealing so many local stories without giving credit.
NEW: The Times’s Credit Crisis
A recent New York Times front-page feature on chemical plants in the Trump era had deep reporting, stark data visuals, and an uncanny resemblance to a smaller outlet’s earlier investigation. Was this a case of unacknowledged inspiration, a steroidal dose of Times exceptionalism, or sheer coincidence?

the h3 clips have blown my mind. no one ever seems to be having a good time. ethan is always being a dickhead. his idf wife contributes nothing except grotesque neon clothes. some producer behind a giant monitor is always doing damage control. chopped vibes all around

Zelooperz has announced his new album ‘Pin Breakers,’ set to release on November 13 via Earl Sweatshirt’s Tan Cressida label. The drop will be his first on the label, following a run on the ‘Live Laugh Love’ tour with Earl in 2025. The lead single “Beautician” is out now.
Danny Brown, who co-founded the Detroit hip-hop collective Bruiser Brigade with Zelooperz, is the sole feature on the project. The album was produced entirely by Black Noi$e. The two recorded it daily at Detroit’s Bruiser House in 2017, completed it in 2019, and then left it buried on a discarded hard drive for years before it was rediscovered. Now we finally get to hear it.
The title came from a bowling trip where @ZelooperZ threw a ball hard enough to dislocate his shoulder, which forced him to take six months off. According to a press release, the album plays on both “the physical act of breaking pins and the freedom of breaking the pen, allowing ideas to flow without restriction.”
“You can’t appreciate the good days without the pain from the bad ones,” he shared.
