This so-called pastor/prophet can marry as many wives as he wishes, but the correct Christian position will never shift nor change. As Brother @TevinMacharia eloquently puts it here, you can’t claim to be a Christian if Christ’s word is not the final authority over you! You have no part in Him nor His gospel. You can play religion all you like, and have your congregants follow you, and even be applauded by the world, but you do not belong to the body of Christ!
Deep breath… So there’s a pastor whose wife introduced his second wife over the pulpit and announced that they’re in a polygamous relationship…. In the year of our Lord Savior 2026. And now I keep seeing, “Why is everybody upset? Polygamy is biblical”post 😭 but yall just because something was written or noted in the Bible doesn’t make it holy. And I get it… it’s not a secret that Jacob had more than one wife, David, Solomon… But nobody talks about how Jacob was tricked into marrying two women… No one talks about how David’s need to have multiple women led to adultery and murder and later incest and later, a son killing another AND attempting to kill David, and later killed in battle by David’s warriors… We never unpack Solomon and his many wives and how it turned him away from God, and because of that his kingdom legacy was split and fell… Because the Bible says his wives turned his heart toward other gods. So why do we keep mentioning how many women they had without mentioning where the story went… And let me acknowledge this the Old Testament contains laws regulating households with multiple wives. I’m not going to pretend those passages don’t exist. But explaining what was permitted and regulated in ancient Israel doesnt settle what Christ said in the New Testament or the responsibilities of a pastor. Because that’s the part people keep skipping. We are talking about a PASTOR. Which 1st Timothy 3:2 and Titus 1:6 identify as the husband of one wife as a qualification for church leadership. The same passage requires self control and a life above reproach. So how are we reaching for Solomon and David while stepping over the passage addressing the very office this man holds? And more than anything, this comes down to FINAL AUTHORITY. When Christ spoke about marriage in Matthew 19:4–6, He spoke of a man joined to his wife. Singular. And He said the TWO become ONE flesh. So why are we searching through everybody else’s life for permission to move away from what Christ taught? Because if you call Him Lord, His teaching has to carry more authority over your life than the behavior of somebody else you read about. You can’t keep reaching for David’s example while ignoring Christ’s instruction. You can’t keep pointing to Solomon’s wives while overlooking where those relationships led him. And at some point, you have to ask yourself am I following Christ, or am I following whichever person in Scripture makes room for what I already want? Because if David’s choices carry more weight with you than Christ’s words, David has become the example and the god you obey. If Solomon’s relationships give you permission to dismiss what Christ taught, Solomon has become your idol of authority. And you have to wrestle with the fact that you’ve chosen a man over the teaching of the One you call Lord. Because if Christ led us back to original intent of marriage as singular TWO becoming ONE… who really has the final authority? And why is His word not enough for you?

#TrueStory These pieces of my first-ever business card took me back in time. A long, long time ago, I was 24, a freshly minted veterinarian, when a ponytailed, 23-year-old @kennethrsharpe drove to my one-room lodgings in Uplands, Waterfalls, Harare, and offered me a job. While my fellow fresh vets were cutting, stitching and sticking their ungloved arms up cows’ behinds to diagnose pregnancies, I was getting my baptism of fire in the business world alongside Ken, a serial entrepreneur. To this day, Ken is one of the hardest-working people I have known. No job was beneath the MD: sweeping floors, making coffee for his staff, loading and driving trucks, and everything in between. He rolled up his sleeves and got on with whatever needed doing. As for me, the business card said veterinary consultant, but I did everything: making deliveries, negotiating with buyers, haggling for shelf space and gondola ends, running in-store promotions and supporting dog and cat shows across the country. The vet in me came out only when I advised breeders on performance nutrition and discussed life-stage and clinical nutrition with grey-haired vets. I spent just a year at Westridge, but the lessons there laid a firm foundation for the broad tapestry of pursuits I have undertaken since. Knowing Ken's work ethic and ambition, I am hardly surprised he has been tackling projects that seemed unachievable at first. Munin'ina, Ken, keep going - we come from far😜. #SundaySalutations

I wanted the noise to subside before commenting on this artistic impression of the Mwenemutapa. Clearly the figure in the meme is black (in the broader definition of blackness). However, the hair is woolly, but neither brunette nor blonde. The facial features look Eastly and the symbols of power; crown and scepter foreign. Is this a true reflection of Mwenemutapa? Yes. Symbols of power. Beginning in BC times, Zimbabwe/Sasos/Chivavarigwa traded with Asia Minor. Rich Africans wore fine linen clothes and jewelery (ndoro chena/ tsambo chena). It was not out of place for kings to adorn themselves with products of gold which in any case was mined from their empire. Phenotype. Merchants from Asia Minor visited Sasos/Chivavarigwa (Zimbabwe) without spouses. For more than a thousand years, they had mixed blood children with African women who in turn had children even in royal families. By the early 16th century Sofala had a bursting population of colored merchants called Moors and it was ruled by a Moor/Colored. In the Mutapa state alone, 10000 Moors lived there. The Mutapa empire had vassals, those who ruled on his behalf and some of them were of mixed blood, for example, the chief Justice of King Kwesaringo was a Moor who used the title Changa Ameer from which Shona derived Changamire. In 1629 after the fall of Mwenemutapa Kapuratsine a new Coloured Mwenemutapa, Don Phillip Mavura, was installed by the Portuguese. He was a descendant of Mutapa. Is the meme a reflection of the history of the time? Yes. This picture could have been one of the children from mixed blood but descending from the royal house.

How can you claim to have read ALL books of the Bible and still come up with such ignorant nonsense?🤷🏾‍♂️
Replying to @AsakyGRN
The fact is, I have read all the books of the Bible, and I have not found any verse that explicitly says a man must marry only one wife. Some Christians have distorted its teachings. Go and verify: many prominent prophets mentioned in the Bible and the Quran had multiple wives. Go and add more wives.

This is unBiblical! People are creating their own theologies to suit their lifestyles. This is heretical and represents rebellion against the scriptures. 1 Timothy 3:2: “A bishop must then be blameless. The husband of ONE WIFE, vigilant, SOBER, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach.”
Moment an American pastor and prophetess, who are both married, introduce a new wife to their congregation and announce that they are now in a polygynous marriage with a female church member, claiming it is the “will of God.” 😭🤦🏾‍♂️🙆🏾‍♂️

…said the chief, dressed not in Mutota-style fabric wrapper or animal skins, but in a white man’s suit! 🤦🏾‍♂️
Chief Fortune Charumbira, who is also a Senator has advised local women against wearing mini-skirts because they are not decent and they attract men who may end up raping them. He added that miniskirts are not part of Zimbabwe’s culture but are for white women. We committed a great disservice to the people’s opposition by supporting an unconstitutional assumption of leadership post-Tsvangirai in the name of political populism. In the process, we lost our soul and replaced it with personality. No wonder the movement’s heart gave in. It was supposed to be anchored in time-proven democratic principles, worn into the rubric of its organisational framework, from grassroots to Harvest House. I don’t blame Nelson Chamisa for it. He cannot be what he is not, and left without a movement’s guardrails, he veered off into whatever direction he believed would secure his personal political self-preservation when things got hot. It’s his right to do so, even though by so-doing he extinguished himself as the national beacon of hope he once was.
"Every single day I wake up, I become more convinced, more satisfied, and more fortified in the knowledge that stepping aside and walking away from the rottenness within CCC/MDCA was the right and best decision. My conscience is clear, my perspective is unclouded, and my vision for the road ahead is sharper than ever. I have no regrets. The next steps are clearer, and the mission remains greater than any political party. A citizens government in our lifetime! The Citizens shall and will govern." — Nelson Chamisa.

Uebert Angel’s relative (some say he married Angel’s cousin), Pastor Rikki Doolan, is his link with the far-right in the UK. Doolan is a member of Angel’s Good News Church and Spirit Embassy ministry, and is one of his closest lieutenants. He appeared in the Gold Mafia documentary and also took part in the infamous far-right rally staged in London some time back by the notorious far-right activist, Tommy Robinson. Doolan is close to Tommy Robinson and claims to have led him to Christ.
Another Clip | WATCH | Prophet Uebert Angel has been exposed once again after being linked to the hiring of a racists UK far-right group to help Zimbabwe campaign against Western sanctions during President Mnangagwa’s visit to Glasgow for the COP26 climate summit in 2021. 🎥 Al Jazeera

Men stupidly fail to organise to defend their human rights and dignity in the same way feminism has organised to defend women’s to the point of even overrunning and dominating males in some respects, because we’re socialised on the propaganda that we’re beneficiaries of the so-called patriarchy! To allow females to get away with the sort of abuse depicted in the video below is to actually infantilise them; it undermines the principle of equality, because to give them a pass assumes they’re like impetuous little children who lack self-control, rational consciousness, and are incapable of understanding the unfairness of their behaviour and treatment of others. The software that men and boys in our African cultural context are raised on is totally outdated and useless in this modern age, especially in relating to the modern woman. We must raise boys who are disabused of this stultifying, outdated software, and who are raised to be objectively conscious individuals who respect themselves, and extend to others the same obligation of respect as is owed to them. @Shadaya_Knight

Mnangagwa got incarcerated as a young saboteur, and upon release, left the struggle altogether to pursue personal ambitions kuZambia kwaigara mhuri yavo. We’re not saying he made no sacrifices; rather, we’re saying munhu ngaamire nehistory yake instead of trying to rewrite himself to the centre of liberation history. That’s not where he was, and it’s ok to admit that rather than attempt to lionise him using made-up history, as vana @nickmangwana are shamelessly doing here!
