Reform plan to bring back imperial measurements to help boost US trade, not realising that US imperial measurements are different from UK ones.
So dense a black hole is empty space by comparison.

Who gives a shiny shite if Andy Burnham appears on some sort of charity edition of Gogglebox tonight
The usual suspects surely can't be that short of other things to pretend to be outraged about? 😂

This is somewhere between deeply irresponsible and a lie.
HMRC will be able to "seize money" from people who owe tax, aren't disputing it, but just fail to pay. That's people who cause the rest of us to pay more tax.

Hallo Andy B/John H. Great job so far! I heard on the news that you’re cutting red tape! I hope it includes these bloody Brexit customs declarations that mean I just spent well over an hour a) trying to find a post office - two had vanished from where they were b)queue c) form filling. All to post a small present. And meanwhile the cryptocrooks who love Brexit Reform so much are shifting squillions at the tap of a phone. I know it is mainly Johnson Farage fault but please sort it out.

Thatcher spent the North Sea instead on high unemployment in the 1980s
NEW
Britain’s missing sovereign wealth fund… Treasury officials have modelled that had the UK done what Norway did with North Sea revenues, there would be a £1 trillion fund…
As Chancellor sets up Energy Wealth Fund, a look at the long historical argument about where the oil windfall went, including from interviews with those who have run Norways $2.4 trillion fund, now the biggest in the world, filled from the proceeds of the same North Sea.

Funny how history gets rewritten.
In 1986, Britain had around 3.16 MILLION people on the unemployment claimant count.
That was long before the large-scale EU migration you’re blaming today.
Unemployment is principally about the number and location of jobs, skills, wages and the state of the economy not foreigners supposedly “taking” work from millions of willing British workers.
And migrants who work here also pay tax, rent, VAT and spend money throughout the British economy.

Given that Farage does everything Trump does: if he becomes PM he will try to weaken the courts, silence the media, create chaos and division and build a cult of loyalty to himself whilst making himself even wealthier.

Is it too much to hope that Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine and his sucking up to a murderous dictator who despises all that is good about America will further damage him in the mid-terms rather than, as he hopes, help him? If it is the latter then we really have to wonder whether the problem with America goes a lot deeper than Trump, and will outlive him.

Imagine if in 1943 FDR had decided that the US would stop helping Britain and instead would side with the Third Reich. That's a bit like what President Trump is now doing by cozying up to Russia as it tries to destroy Ukraine. Utterly shameful. A humiliating moment for the US.

Before you close your eyes tonight, think of Ukraine.
We’re exhausted.
We’re frightened.
We’re carrying more than anyone should.
But we’re still here.
And this is still our home.
