A booster for over 40 years 25 of them as a bull gator and a endowed a scholarship in the memory of my parents.. this is the first year. I have not gone to a game or sent in a check. I’m at the athletic director several times as I was on the booster board one day I was in the lobby, looking at the wall of endowments, and guess which one was left off? He walked by me without recognizing me and ask, could you help me? Despite being on the board, despite him coming into my skybox and being introduced to me, he was clueless as to who I was. To me, he is part of the problem as to why watching gator football isn’t as joyful as it has been in the past to say the least if he was doing his job, he would’ve insisted we would’ve had a quality offensive coordinator two years ago, anybody who broke down film could show you what the gators were about to run due to our formation many of us built Saturdays around gator football. I did it for over 40+ years I saw a clip today of Lane showing a lot of emotion after his team had a sloppy victory that one clip showed more emotion than we’ve seen on our sidelines in four years. I think Billy is fabulous Sunday through Friday. He built speed on our roster. He’s done a marvelous job as a CEO, but when it comes game day, his ego has prevented him from doing what he should’ve done. I would’ve loved for him to do it because of the person he is I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him too, but it is time for some excitement. I hope we get lane. I want somebody who strikes fear in our opponents when the old ball coach showed up the SEC knew they were in trouble when Georgia stormed the field against Urban’s gators. He had a response for it when Howard Schnellenberger kicked a field goal with one second against the gators, and the lead Pell had an answer for it. Give me one of those coaches that hates to lose. The university of Florida has a treasure and the old ball coach. He expressed an opinion of what Lane could do for Florida. I hope they listen to him..
