A response to the prevalent & idiotic "America bad" narrative of modern history, presented one day after the 25th anniversary of 9/11:
-Saddam starts war of aggression against Iran, causes over a million deaths;
-Saddam commits acts of genocide against Kurds in north and Shiites in south, killing hundreds of thousands;
-Saddam starts war of aggression against Kuwait, annexes territory into Iraq;
-Gulf states implore the US to intervene, which they along with allies do, liberating Kuwait;
-US & UK impose sanctions regime on Baathist Iraq to constrain its established intent to initiate wars of aggression & institute no-fly zones over northern & southern Iraq to stop anti-Kurdish and anti-Shiite mass murder campaigns; much of the global left decry these actions as inhumane and imperialistic;
-Bin Laden orchestrates the worst terror attack in world history, murdering thousands of innocent men, women and children in cold blood. His justifications are based on his frustration with the US's righteous actions against Baathist Iraq, his disgust with gender and sexual equality in the West, and conspiratorial antisemitism. Many leftists then attribute his actions to "blowback" for purported US misdeeds in the Middle East;
-US engages in justified war against Taliban regime in response to their hosting of al Qaeda and refusal to hand over the perpetrators of 9/11. In the process, the US effectively liberates Afghanistan's women and minorities, and invests heavily in Aghanistan developing a more human system of self-governance;
-In Afghanistan, the vast majority of civilian casualities are attributable to jihadist violence (suicide bombings, roadside bombings, and other militant attacks intentionally directed at civilian populations, coalition forces, and state entities);
-US invades Iraq on questionable pretext, helps establish imperfect democracy. In doing so, the US overthrows a genocidal authoritarian regime, and effectively liberate the long-suffering Shiite and Kurdish populations, who taken together constitute a substantial majority of the population;
-In Iraq, the vast majority of civilian casualties are attributable to Sunni jihadists and Shia death squads. On the Shiite side, much of this violence is supported, funded and directed by the IRGC. In total, more civilian deaths in Iraq are likely attributable to Iran than the US.
-Every year, leftists, third-worldists and Islamists (closeted or otherwise) implore us on the anniversary of an unjustified mass killing of American civilians to remember "millions of victims of US wars" when the US wasn't responsible for the vast majority of the deaths, was fully justified in invading Afghanistan, and overturned an implaccably genocidal and expansionist regime in Iraq (the latter of which the left, having opposed the sanctions and no-fly zones that contained againdt it, would have allowed to regain strength and continue its crimes against Shiites and Kurds).
Don't let the Mamdanis, the Medea Benjamins & the Hasan Pikers of the world twist history. The problems of the Muslim world are endemic to the Muslim world, and regularly spill out to cause global harm. The US isn't responsible for this, and has in fact operated to mitigate the harms caused by extremism both globally and within the Muslim world.

Listen here, you Quisling Institute chud, literally the entire purpose of the think tank you joined is to lobby for the US government to be less hostile to the worst dictatorships on Earth. You wanted Iran to win in Syria. Own it. You pushed for it hard.

If random Israelis started harvesting olives in America, I'm pretty sure they'd be arrested too. What is this?

Zero charisma. Total Pick Me energy.
Won't even make it to 3% in the presidential primary he's been obsessively running for for the past 2 years
I am a New Deal Democrat, not a Chuck Schumer Democrat.
I'm in Florida campaigning with @AngieNixon because we need a Democratic Party that is not beholden to the donor class. That means more Angie Nixons in this party and fewer Chuck Schumers to lead the way forward.

Notice the goal posts moving. In Bernie's original argument, AIPAC caused a war. Now that his antisemitism is being called out he says AIPAC supports the war. There is a large gap between those two claims. The war was Trump's choice. The buck stops with him.
No. I’m not “scapegoating” AIPAC.
You support Trump's illegal war in Iran. Americans don’t.
You want taxpayers to spend billions funding the Israeli government. Americans don’t.
Your super PAC is spending $9 million to defeat Abdul because he opposes your agenda. Unacceptable.

If all support for Israeli activity is the fault of AIPAC, then was Bernie in the tank for AIPAC before January 2024 when he supported Israel’s action in Gaza?

1985. I am in third grade in the USSR. We have a mandatory political indoctrination lesson. The lesson is on Zionist aggression, Israeli perfidy, and Soviet Jews who are susceptible to its reach. Kids turn and point fingers at me and another Jewish student.

Replying to @FinancialEng2
Agreed. My preference would be for some kind of peaceful divorce, whether along the lines of Iraqi Kurdistan or Kosovo, rather than a renewed offensive and more bloodshed on either side. I hope they can negotiate a peaceful settlement.
The reality is that Syrian Sunnis and Druze have accumulated too much bad blood and distrust to realistically live under a single political authority. In practice, this will only ever happen with Damascus defeating and subjugating Suwayda entirely. To me, that is simply unacceptable; I cannot wish an outcome upon my coreligionists that would all but guarantee their effective demographic extinction within a few decades.
So, the most democratic and just outcome would be to let the Druze exercise their right to self-determination, just as Sunnis should govern in Damascus, Aleppo, Hama, and Homs. (The Alawites and Kurds likewise deserve the right to determine their own futures, although that seems wholly unattainable under the current conditions. Life can be unfair that way. 🤷♂️)

A Jewish child had to explain why gas chamber taunts were wrong. Now adults are sneering at evidence of antisemitism in schools. What the fuck has happened to this country? My latest on the Bell report and the people trying to discredit it.

One of the kids in my inner-city London comprehensive came into school on September 11th 2002 with his white school shirt emblazoned with his bad felt-tip drawing of the Twin Towers getting attacked on the back with the words "Happy 9/11" on the front.
Didn't even get detention.

Nevertheless, I did go to that school, and I still remember as clear as day that the word "Jew" in and of itself was used as an insult, a slur and a pejorative, daily.
And given that Labour was in govt, a senior cabinet minister (and school's local MP) sent their kid there.

Government review: We are seeing an alarming rise in Jewish children being racially abused and harassed at school.
The British Left: I don't believe this, how much of that abuse & harassment targeted towards children is actually just legitimate criticism of the state of Israel?

Reminder that the Russians are creating a catastrophic situation in the Sahel which will drive refugees into North Africa and Europe.
Mali’s armed forces and the allied Russia-controlled Africa Corps have committed new atrocities against civilians in central Mali during renewed fighting.
Concerned governments and international institutions should press the Malian authorities to conduct credible investigations into military abuses. hrw.org/news/2026/10/22/mali…

This is an abominable tweet. She is *criticizing* these decent men and women for coming together to repel the marauders and protect their city’s shops. But these are exactly the kinds of citizens healthy societies cannot function without.

If a candidate's dad, mom, sister & father-in-law were associated with the KKK, the candidate signed an open letter urging the purge of anti-apartheid activists from the de Klerk government, and they said of Timothy McVeigh that "hurt people hurt people," calling them a suspected white supremacist wouldn't be "anti-white racism."
