6% of the UK population are Muslim, and 4% of UK MPs are Muslim.
Stop all this bullshit that they are somehow taking over and controlling the country.
It's all just far right propaganda.
I'd rather see a decent Muslim with honest values who serves their community as an MP, than the utter scumbag, criminal, wife beating grifters who represent the far right.

Yes, she was born in Somalia, but she is British, just as you, a Sri Lankan migrant child, became British.
On the equality form, you identify as British Asian, and she identifies as British African.
Working with @Nigel_Farage does not change the fact that you are British-Sri Lankan.
You can be her father, but she has built a political career that is better than your delusional behavior.
Get a life, loser. Even the Reform Party does not trust you to put your name forward as a councillor candidate.

Muhammad Zia Yusuf and Suella Braverman want to scrap the Equalities Act. It’s the same law that has protected them and their parents from discrimination. This is the very definition of ‘rolling up the ladder’.
Farage, Nice, Braverman, Tommy 10 names Robinson are remarkably quiet on The A66 tragedy, 2 serving Policman lost their lives needlessly.

This is John Ashby, the racist monster who raped a Sikh woman because he believed her to be Muslim. This image should be on the front page of every newspaper and online platform. His actions will have been fuelled by the hateful rhetoric pumped out online and normalised by hard right politicians. Damn you and your sick views. My heart is broken for the survivor of this attack. She will suffer the psychological scars of this misogynistic violence for the rest of her life. I hope he is imprisoned for the rest of his days.
An excellent piece by a respected local Imam Yunus Dudhwala on the lessons repeating mistakes from history.
Nick Timothy, Kemi Badenoch as well as Farage would do well to understand!

For the record, I speak to voters in Turkish when and if I can.
My family have been here since the 1950s/60s, we are clear on our Britishness, but also our cultural and religious heritage.
It’s called engaging with people on their terms.

The accusation of sectarianism being levelled at Muslim communities in Gorton and Denton is plainly racist and Islamophobic.

“There is a distinction between interference in the democratic process and muslims having a proclivity to vote in a particular direction”.
Is the issue of sectarianism being used by Reform to deflect from their loss in the by election?

"Family voting" - of which police and polling station staff saw no evidence during the vote - is totally made up horseshit intended to cast suspicion on ethnic minorities for having the temerity to exercise their democratic right.
That's it.
watched all of @SkyNews coverage of the by election Disturbing the number of times Nadhim Zahawi was allowed to use "Islamist" without any push back from the presenters. Not thrilled by the result, but why are Muslims not allowed to vote as they wish without sinister assertions? – at Ilford, London

I usually go to the polling station with my partner.
My adult children came too when they lived at home.
Was that "family voting" or absolutely fine because we're White skinned and not Muslims?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
"Family voting" means multiple people entering the polling booth together, breaching the secret ballot and potentially coercing votes. Going to a polling station with family is legal. Observers reported booth-group voting in Gorton and Denton, not lawful group arrival. bbc.com/news/articles/…

You built your entire campaign on scapegoating Muslims and stoking fear, and now you’re pretending you’re “saving Britain”? Britain doesn’t need saving from its own citizens it needs saving from people who divide it for clicks and votes.
Calling an entire community “dangerous” because you can’t win on ideas is cowardice.
You talk about “losing the country” while actively tearing at its social fabric. Real patriotism isn’t whipping up paranoia about minorities. It’s building a country where people of different faiths live with mutual respect.
If your only path to relevance is fearmongering about Muslims, that says more about the weakness of your platform than it does about us.
