Elco grad Dallas George started and played all but one minute of McDaniel's season-opening 81-79 loss to Elizabethtown in Hood's tournament. He had 5 points, 3 rebounds, a team-high 6 assists and 1 steal. McDaniel plays Notre Dame (Md.) today.

I mean, just an all-time TV segment. Making Chuck do Who He Play For multiple times in a row with the same players is a brilliant idea and I was legit crying laughing by the end, my god.
This guy actually gets it.
Kyle Shanahan says a 51% analytics recommendation won’t convince him to go for it because he gets one shot, not an hour at a blackjack table
“I don’t want to hear about it if it’s 51% of the time we should go for it.”
“As I always say, I’m not sitting here playing Blackjack for an hour with no one else at the table, and eventually I’ll get 51% of it. Like, I have this one try, and I have a feel for it. I’ve been doing it too long.”
“But what I want to know from him, when it’s not a feel, when it, no, this is 98%. We don’t even need to talk about it. So we don’t need to talk about it. Tell me when it’s that, and I’ll just do it.”

In what world are we living in?
Great story…
My son tried out for his high school basketball team three years in a row and got cut every time. He's a good kid, but he's five foot six and not very fast, and the third time it broke his heart. He'd practiced every single day that summer. He came home from the final cut list and went straight to his room. The next morning, the coach called our house and asked to talk to him. He said he had a problem.
8 goals? Versus an 0&15 team? 🙄 Don’t coaches in today’s world usually get suspended or canned for this kind of unsportsmanlike behavior and stat padding?
As someone who grew up in this storied program. Don’t really get what’s been allowed to happen recently. 😔
Boys Soccer final score: ELCO defeated Susquehanna Twp. 11-0. Congratulations to our Raider Seniors and congratulations to junior Jevan Marquette for breaking the single game program record for goals netting 7 this evening! ⚽️ @LancLebLeague @Pa_Preps

This is exactly how the madness will end.
Congratulations to these brave girls!
They are the real winners 🏆
BREAKING: Nearly half of the girls cross-country team in Camas, Washington, just forfeited their race. They refused to compete against a boy. This is bravery. Vote YES on I-638 to stand with them. Video: @KnownHeretic

I actually cannot believe high school girls are still having to take it upon themselves to enact change against an obvious injustice.
Not the adults, or the coaches, or the Governor, or the sporting governing body...the 14 year old girls.

Bring it back, max teams at 10 per conference. Do the same with "group of" conferences. Easy schedule, easy playoff structure, region-based and rivalries stay intact (with some protected OOC).

I think being a high school basketball coach might be harder now than it’s ever been. You really have parents wanting to sit inside practices. That’s crazy to me. I don’t want to sound old, but back in my day, parents wouldn’t even think to ask. Practice was for the players and coaches. Period. Much respect to today’s coaches because they’re dealing with unwarranted egos, unrealistic expectations, delusional parents, handlers. The high school coach used to be more than just the person drawing up plays. They were mentors and role models. They taught you discipline, accountability, how to handle adversity and how to become a better young man or woman. Now, if a freshman isn’t playing 20 out of 32 minutes, you have parents ready to transfer them somewhere else. At some point, we have to ask: Are we helping these kids by removing every uncomfortable situation, or are we hurting their development? How do we give high school coaches the ability to actually COACH again while still holding them accountable?
