HS sports should be about competing, representing something bigger than yourself, being part of a team & growing through the game. When the bling, ind. attention & spectacle overshadow the team, competition & love for the game, we’ve lost sight of what makes sports meaningful.

Effort is the highest form of respect. Not just for yourself or your coaches, but for the game & every player who built that standard before you. Respect the game. Show up. Compete. Empty the tank. One day the noise all fades & your effort is all that remains. That’s your legacy!

Have you guys ever seen these HS wannabe barstool pages on socials?
Talk about growing up and never being punched in the face.
Talking all the trash they want from behind a screen. AI, photoshop, etc. Kids running these pages saying whatever they want with no consequences.
Some of the stuff is extremely degrading and malicious. Can't believe they are allowed to have these pages.
Schools shouldn't allow these. Have to be better!
Some Food for Thought …
Geography, conference membership, and the unique challenges facing rural schools must be part of any discussion about playoff reform. 🧵
My preferred playoff system:
- 8 bids per region
- Only games vs OHSAA teams count
- Must play 7+ games & go .500 or better
- All undefeated teams get in
Resume rankings select & seed. (Who did you play? What % did you win? Scores don't matter)

Strength of schedule matters, but geography, conference membership, and scheduling availability must also be considered.

Minkah Fitzpatrick should be out of the league @NFLOfficiating
Google him!
As a college coach, I never used a recruiting service. I didn’t talk to AAU coaches. And I only talked to HS coaches once I started going to recruits HS games.
That’s why I’m good now when college coaches and our AAU players are handling their business. I don’t need the ego stroke of being involved, like so many do🙄
I’m there for them in any way that they need me. And I’ll always put them in positions to be successful💯 But the process is about the players, not their coaches

#OnThisDay in 1787, 39 of the 55 Constitutional Convention delegates sign their names to the U.S. Constitution.
As president of the Convention, George Washington was first to sign the document. #ConstitutionDay

239 years ago today, our Founding Fathers signed the Constitution at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. 🇺🇸
On Constitution Day, we honor the enduring document that established the framework for our system of self-government and remains the foundation of our Republic.
