20.92 mph by our returner for this TD. Per NFL NextGen stats, that would be the 16th fastest mph in the LEAGUE this year by a ball carrier💨💨💨 we train speed around here in Warriorville!
I think I remember @Tony_Villani_ saying HS kids can be as fast as NFL guys🤷♂️

Ya. This guy.
He is a transformational coach. No cussing or belittling his players. Love, tough love, energy, focus, standards, expectations.
This is my kind of coach.

Interesting fact: A high school football game has 48 minutes on the clock.
But a study found the average play lasts just 5.6 seconds. At 130 plays, that’s roughly 12 minutes of actual action between BOTH teams.
Months in the weight room. Summer heat. Film. Practice. All for opportunities measured in literal seconds.
And you don’t know which 5.6 seconds will decide the game.
That backside block you took off? The pursuit you cut short because somebody else would get him?
That might’ve been it.
Every snap matters. Special teams included.
Defeat the block, stay on your feet, and pursue the football.
Kickoff coverage vs. Little Rock Central. Working through a block against an Austin Peay commit and continuing downfield.

Kissed my wife goodbye this morning.
She said “where you going?”
I said Blacksburg.
She said “Blacksburg?”
I said Blacksburg.
She said “what’s in Blacksburg?”
I showed her this video.
She said “…take me with you”

Not just special teams.
This is legitimately one of the greatest football plays I’ve ever seen.
It doesn’t get much better than that right there. Every coach in America will be showing this rep to their team this week.

I’ve heard the saying that “God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers.” But when I see the disciples that Jesus chose and suffered for His name sake, I don’t see Him choosing the “toughest soldiers”, as I learn about men and women in the past and even today who have laid down their lives for Jesus, once again I don’t see God choosing His “toughest soldiers.” But I see a strong and mighty God choosing weak men and woman, and empowering them by His Holy Spirit to face some of the toughest battles and be used for His glory.
I once thought I was a “tough soldier” until I met Jesus, I then realized that I’m so weak without Him, and apart from Jesus I can’t do anything. I need Jesus daily. The only way that I can truly become who God wants me to be and truly do what God wants me to do, is not by my power not by my might, but only by The Spirit of The Living God. Thank you Jesus.
