Much appreciation for Kim Mulkey’s top lieutenant - LSU Associate Head 🏀 @CoachBobStarkey. About a decade ago I was a High School Head Coach looking to break into college - going to work every camp and clinic across the country. I made the 20+ hour drive a few years in a row from Florida to work camp at Texas A&M. Coach Starkey was a top assistant there at the time. I asked his advice and he told me I needed to start at the small college level, just like he did at West Virginia State University, working for a couple thousand dollars and some free meals. Begin there, grind for the love of the game, and work my way up. I did just that. A decade later we’re both in the LSU system - he helping LSU Women’s Basketball to its first National Championship a few years ago, and myself as the Head Coach at LSU Eunice - the JUCO representative of the LSU system - building & winning Back-to-Back Conference Championships in the last couple seasons. The game of basketball & the vocation of coaching is an incredible journey. Truly thankful for Coach Starkey - one of the most gracious people in the profession and a true sharer of the game 🙏🐯🏀 @LSUEBengalsWBB @LSUwbkb @LSUEunice @LSU

VERY THANKFUL to LSU Women’s Basketball @LSUwbkb for letting us watch practice today! We’re proud to be the JUCO representative of the LSU system @LSUEBengalsWBB 🏀🔥 3 Letters, 2 Colors, 1 State! 🐯💜💛

Thank you to Travis Webb for writing some really nice things about myself & our team. I’m truly blessed to coach some amazing players who are also amazing people & to be supported by a strong administration at LSU Eunice. Quotes from press release … “Rob Beckmann is back for his third year on the Cajun Prairie after being named LCCAC Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Coach Beckmann led LSUE to consecutive 20-plus win seasons for the first time in nearly two decades and is off to the best head coaching start in program history.” “The Bengals will aim to continue their fast-paced, team-centric style of basketball on the Cajun Prairie. LSUE finished tops in the nation in steals (19.0) and assists (21.0) per game, while forcing the second most turnovers per contest (21.7) in the nation.” “Coach Beckmann welcomes back two regular starters from last year's team. Edurne Diaz de la Serna Munoz (Ripollet, Spain, Institut Palau Ausit) is back after scoring 9.6 points per game a season ago, while Aryanna Ridgeway (Nashville, TN, Ezell Harding Christian School) returns after starting all 29 games for the Bengals with 5.3 rebounds per contest.” @LSUEBengalsWBB @LSUEBengals @LSUEunice

Excited to be speaking @GlazierBBall Coaching Clinic among many other elite coaches from premier 🏀 programs from around the country! I’ll be speaking the afternoon of October 4 on the topics of Zone Defense & Developing Player Leadership. Early in my career a decade ago, I drove to Glazier Clinics from Florida to Atlanta, GA to attend in person - either sleeping in my car or sharing a hotel room to learn from some of the best. I then worked as a presenter who introduced the speakers. Full circle moment - very appreciative to have learned & now share the game! 🏀🔥🐯💜💛 #FullGeaux #AllGeauxNeauxBrakes
