🇮🇱 As Israel heads to elections this week, we are reminded that our strength lies in our diversity.
Proud of my colleague Sahar for her statement at the @UN.
Inclusion, equal rights & political participation are essential to building resilient, peaceful societies.

Vznik Československa otvoril Slovákom a Čechom cestu k vlastnej štátnosti.

On 28 October 1918, a defining moment in Slovakia’s modern history took place. The founding of Czechoslovakia opened the way to statehood for Slovaks and Czechs, two nations, each with its own language, culture and identity, who chose to build a shared future.
For Israel, this story also carries a personal dimension. In the late 19th century, during the Hilsner affair, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, who would become Czechoslovakia’s first president, publicly stood up against antisemitic prejudice, even at the cost of his own popularity. In 1927, as president, he visited Jerusalem and the growing Jewish communities in the Land of Israel. Interwar Czechoslovakia also allowed Jews to declare Jewish nationality.
On today’s anniversary, we remember the values on which this state was founded: freedom and democracy.

Today, Israel celebrates democracy in action. 🇮🇱 Every vote matters, every voice counts, and every citizen has the right to shape our shared future. Democracy thrives on diversity, freedom of choice, and respect for different views. 🗳️

Vyjadrenie Gideona Sa’ara k násiliu v oblasti Taybeh: Dôrazne odsudzujem násilie izraelských výtržníkov. Polícia vyšetruje incident. Návšteva nebola vopred koordinovaná s IDF, čo mohlo pomôcť zaistiť bezpečnosť návštevníkov.
I strongly condemn the severe acts of violence by Israeli rioters in the area of Taybeh.
A police investigation has been opened, and forensic investigators from the Judea and Samaria District are already at the scene collecting evidence.
The Foreign Ministry is in contact with the ambassadors of the countries concerned in order to assist the law enforcement authorities, who are working to identify the attackers and bring them to justice.
Without detracting from the severity of the incident, it is unfortunate that the visit was not coordinated with the IDF in advance. Such coordination could have helped safeguard the visitors’ security.

In a conversation with me, mayor of Alkmaar @Amcgschouten refused to even consider letting just 150 Hapoel Beer Sheva supporters attend a football match in her city. But she does use her powers to facilitate anti-Israel demonstrations.
It look quite clear the mayor does not genuinely care about security, but about an activist agenda that is anti-Israeli or maybe even worse. Disgraceful behaviour!
Nenávistné prejavy a radikalizáciu nesmieme zľahčovať ani prehliadať. Musíme ich jasne odmietnuť.

As we commemorate the victims of the Hamas October 7 massacre, others celebrate the slaughter and call for intifada and jihad to spread worldwide.
A Fox News investigation exposes the coordinated anti-Israel campaign behind global protests.
Prewritten accusations. Coordinated slogans. Orchestrated disruptions. A calculated effort to hijack headlines, dominate the narrative and demonize Israel.
The hatred is loud. The coordination is documented.

Any serious legal body would have disqualified Navi Pillay from dealing with Israeli affairs given her anti-Israel record and blatant disregard for antisemitism.
The UN, however, saw this as an asset, appointing her to head the Committee of Investigation precisely to ensure a outcome that legitimizes the genocide lie.
We deserve an unbiased UN that serves its vital purpose.
We deserve jurists committed to the truth, not political activism that undermines international law.
It is sad to see the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize tarnished like this.
Navi Pillay has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. At this stage, I am not even surprised anymore. Disgusted, but not surprised.
Apparently, accuse Israel of the worst for decades and it will bring you glory.
Before the tributes overwhelm the facts, a few reminders - documented over the years by @UNWatch:
• Durban, 2009. Pillay championed the Durban Review Conference and criticized countries that boycotted it over concerns about antisemitism. She described opposition as a “highly organized campaign of disinformation.”
• BDS, 2017–2020. She publicly supported the BDS movement, expressing hope that it would spread like the campaign against South African apartheid. In 2020, she signed an appeal entitled “Sanction Apartheid Israel!” calling for sanctions and an end to military cooperation.
• Durban again, 2021. She accused Jews and Israel of having “ganged up together” to distort what happened at the 2001 conference.
• The “Jewish lobby,” 2022. Her fellow commissioner Miloon Kothari invoked a “Jewish lobby” in discussing control of social media and questioned Israel’s UN membership. Pillay defended him, saying his comments “seem to have deliberately been taken out of context.” Even the Human Rights Council’s president rejected her defense, warning that the remarks stigmatized Jewish people.
• Genocide, 2025. And then, of course, the commission she chaired concluded that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza.
Moral rot has taken hold of institutions we used to cherish. But if you think only Israel and Jews will pay the price, think again.
The very institutions you claim to protect are being stripped of their credibility. And those who want to see them disappear have every reason to celebrate.
