The length of the contract is interesting, though necessary in order to get an ascending player to sign. Tomi is a guy who is so athletic he can be scheme versatile, but definitely something to monitor assuming the Colts are headed for a new scheme in 2027.
The Colts and DT Adetomiwa Adebawore agreed to terms on a two-year, $35 million extension that includes a $13M signing bonus and $22.5M in new money through 2027. Still only 25, Adebawore has a chance to get back to the market again as he enters his prime. The deal was negotiated by @kenny_zuckerman of @prioritysports

IMO if you get Base to 11 as an offense, you need to take that personally It’s shown up for multiple weeks. The defense is saying “we don’t respect your WRs” I don’t understand how Chris Ballard was ok with this.

Why match with nickel when Danny has to take extra hitches for these WRs to get out of their breaks anyway? Let’s just stop Jonathan Taylor

I have a ton of respect for Daniel Jones. He's insanely tough and the ultimate professional. Obviously, most fans don’t care because the results just haven’t been there, but this lost season is way more than just him and he’ll be the first one to tell you that it’s his fault.

I also feel like it is important to note that DJ was playing at an MVP type level last year until the injury. He broke the leg and played on it for four weeks or so and then had the achilles injury. Sometimes we forget that part of this story and just how tough he is.

Some great points made by Stephen in this thread. Often QBs get too much of the blame and too much of the praise. When teams are defending you by going Base to 11 and you have no speed on the field to get them out of it, that’s way more than just a QB problem.
Shane Steichen: "Obviously, the QB takes the brunt of it all...That's what the quarterback signs up for. And it's not all on him, right? It's everything. It's all encompassing." Here's the thing: He's actually right. Let me explain. (more) espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5036…

In contention for the worst rep I've ever seen from an Indianapolis Colts defense

First explosive of the game: To me this on CJ Allen and a bad rush. Have to pickup this crosser in some capacity but eyes are caught in the backfield. Rookie mistake that he'll get to work through in a lost season.

It's possible this is on Bynum looking back on it

Another really rough one for CJ Allen Adetomiwa fighting for his life on a Duece while both LBs are as passive as ever

Think he really wants to be great and should get ALL the reps in a lost season. But we need chill about getting on Lou for not playing him. Playing LB in this league is rough for a rookie

This week's "only 10 men on the field" report: - Green Bay Packers - Tennessee Titans - Pittsburgh Steelers
I was doing some research on this, but I was shocked to see how many reps there were in the NFL where teams only have 10 men on the field. Happens across the league every week!

Presented without comment: Backed up 3rd&12 trying to hang in the pocket to hit a dagger to Keenan Allen while we're hot up top.

Respectfully, we need better messaging than that. You shipped off your HOF guard and are "open to trading" one of the best RBs in football.
Colts HC Shane Steichen: Daniel Jones still starting QB. Gives us best chance to win .

That being said, and I think this is potentially important.. If they’re planning to trade Daniel, Shane is cooking right now

This is really really bad football We just can't leave guys in the box unblocked for the easiest TFL of their life.

The Jaguars played Base to 11 all game because this offense has zero speed and nobody respects the WRs. It's hard for anyone to play QB in this offense right now

Mf has a noodle arm throwing blind ducks right to the defense wtf are you talking about don’t matter how bad your wrs are if you can’t process a defense and deliver a good ball you’re the problem

An uncharacteristic game from Tyler Warren tbh. Multiple drops Not worried about him longterm, but was not a bright spot unfortunately. He can definitely play better and I expect he will.

I would also like to see Jones drive this ball more. But a drop is a drop

Going off private just to call this out because it’s so irresponsible. I’m not gonna sit here and tell you he’s been perfect, but calling a guy a “coach killer” for battling off an achilles when he’s been the furthest thing from the problem this season is egregious

Also Brian Daboll got fired with Jaxon Dart as his QB. Just a really unfair narrative to start and it frustrates me as someone who watches every snap of this miserable team in detail, when nobody else nationally does (and why should they?)
