Omarchy + Familiar + ChatGPT set up my local Qwen agent with llama.cpp and DeepSeek Harness. It can call on ChatGPT Pro and Grok. Feels like magic.
If that sounds like gobbledygook, soon it’ll just be: “Computer, send my receipts to accounting.”

GPT-Rosalind surfaced a new lead for drug discovery: could restoring cholesterol transport protect neurons from degeneration?
DCTN1 is a gene linked to Perry syndrome, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. In mouse-brain data, disrupting it increased expression of genes involved in making cholesterol. GPT-Rosalind suggested a possible explanation: cholesterol may not be reaching where neurons need it.
That gives scientists a specific mechanism to test and, if confirmed, a direction for developing new treatments for neurodegenerative disorders.
With @perturbai_tx and @scrippsresearch, a team of thousands of GPT-Rosalind agents worked in parallel, connecting gene-expression results from millions of mouse brain cells with scientific literature in just 32 minutes. We’re now expanding this collaboration to identify new drug targets.

Wake up.
Every profession deemed white-collar, the middle class dream, is about to be decimated by AI, at a much faster pace than anticipated, with monstrous social consequences.

Sacks with yet another based and nuanced take on SI risk:
There’s a world of difference between user-authorized agents (Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, etc.) and true unauthorized/rogue agents that could constitute cyberattacks.
Most of the activity described in the Axios story appears to be the former: customers sharing credentials with agents so they can take actions on their behalf. This may violate bank terms requiring humans to log in themselves, but these are in no way cyberattacks.
The direction banks should go is to support user-directed agents. For example, Amex is an authorized connection in Muse, making it easy for users to grant, limit, and revoke access.
Read-only permission levels are a sensible interim step. Several banks already support or are moving toward them. Full write access (with user credentials) is a different risk category and should be approached carefully.
Frightening the public by blurring the line between user-authorized agentic behavior and cyberattacks is irresponsible.

Here’s something that will make people uncomfortable.
I don’t particularly care if future scientific discoveries become too complex for most humans to understand.
I care whether they’re correct and useful.
The universe doesn’t owe us explanations simple enough to fit inside our biological brains.

He is super lucky we should study his “luck”🤣
Elon Musk was lucky turning Tesla into a Trillion dollar company
Elon Musk was lucky turning SpaceX into a Trillion dollar company
Elon Musk was lucky turning Neuralink into a Billion dollar company
Elon Musk was lucky turning the Boring Company into a Billion dollar company (okay maybe a little luck there lol)
Elon Musk was lucky when he bought 𝕏 and saved FREE SPEECH
… see how silly that sounds ?

Tesla releasing this means that they are highly confident on their path for increased safety, which means more Robotaxis.
Big positive signal $TSLA
We are launching the Tesla Robotaxi safety report today.
Till date, Robotaxi has driven a total of 3.3 million miles autonomously, and has had zero injuries nor airbag deployments. If the same number of miles were to be manually driven, we should expect roughly 9 injuries to the occupants or other pedestrians and 4 airbag deployments on average.
We will continue to transparently share our progress with the public using this page.

DeepSeek is everything i thought a company named "OpenAI" would be:
Be DeepSeek:
- One of the worlds leading AI labs
- Release model weights with MIT license
- Open-source FlashMLA and DeepGEMM so others can benifit.
- Releases 3FS, your distributed file systems for AI workloads
- Release DeepSeek Harness, the best agent agent harness.
- Now releases DeepInfer, the inference framework powering production services.
Weights. Kernals. Storage. Agent harness. Inference infrastructure.
OpenAI on other hand has released gpt-oss and codex cli.
At this point, shouldn’t DeepSeek be the one called "OpenAI"?
People keep calling DeepSeek a model company. Look at what they actually opened.
The weights, under MIT.
FlashMLA, attention kernels at 580 TFLOPS on H800.
DeepEP, the communication library for MoE.
DeepGEMM, FP8 matrix multiply at 1,350+ TFLOPS.
3FS, an entire distributed file system they built for themselves.
And today DeepInfer, the engine behind V4.1 Flash, plus deepseek-recipe so your deployment behaves like their API.
Thats every layer of an AI lab. Model, kernels, communication, storage, serving. Thomas called the streak absurd, and he is right.
Most labs open source a small model when the big one is safe behind an API. DeepSeek opens the parts that make their own business work. Then they ship the next model anyway.
I learn more from their repos than from most papers. Anyone can. For me thats a bigger gift than the cheap tokens.

I don’t think humanity’s long-term future is competing against superintelligent machines.
It’s merging with them.
The idea that we’ll remain biologically unchanged while building minds millions of times more capable than ours seems completely absurd to me.
Transhumanism isn’t the end of humanity. It’s the next chapter.
