Today in Zaria, I convened a critical gathering of party leaders from all eight Local Government Areas of Zone 1. This was not a routine meeting. It was a deliberate consolidation of strength, purpose, and resolve. I was accompanied by my running mate, Barr. Irmiya Ishaku Kantiok, Dr. John Markus Ayuba, Senator Musa Bello, Hajiya Hafsat Mohammed Baba, Prof. (Amb.) Muhammad Ahmad Makarfi, and other distinguished members of the campaign council. Zone 1 has spoken with one voice: we are organised, we are mobilised, and we are ready. The structures are being fortified. The people are being engaged. The machinery for 2027 is being sharpened across every ward and community. Kaduna cannot continue on the path of insecurity, economic hardship, and broken promises. The time for real change is approaching, and Zone 1 is standing firmly in the vanguard of this movement. The work continues. The people are rising. The journey to rescue Kaduna is on course. For God! For Kaduna!! For Nigeria!!! #AriseAndShine

VIDEO: This is heartbreaking. A video has emerged showing the clerics who were abducted by bandits while on their way to attend a meeting at Yariโ€™s house in Talatar Mafara town, Zamfara State. Behind this video are families and loved ones who are deeply worried about their safety and praying to see them return home alive. No one deserves to go through this pain, especially people who were simply going about their day.

The Engine Room of Results: Why Hafiz Bayero Represents the Gold Standard of Loyalty, Execution, and Silent Sacrifice โ€‹In every great administration, there are two types of people: those who chase the cameras to take credit, and those who stay in the background to make sure the work actually gets done. โ€‹When you look at the transformative era of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai in Kaduna State, one name stands out as the ultimate definition of absolute loyalty, operational brilliance, and unyielding dedication: Hafiz Bayero. โ€‹While others were busy chasing titles, posting on social media, and staging grand political displays, Hafiz Bayero was in the trenchesโ€”working around the clock, solving complex governance crises, executing high-stakes urban renewal projects, and carrying the weight of massive expectations on his shoulders without ever raising his voice. โ€‹The Man Who Turned Vision into Reality โ€‹As the Managing Director of the Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company (KMDMC) and Administrator of the Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA), Hafiz Bayero proved that youth is not a limitation when matched with intellect and character. โ€‹He modernized Kadunaโ€™s economy: He led the complete transformation of Kadunaโ€™s public markets, turning chaotic spaces into state-of-the-art commercial hubs that empowered thousands of small business owners. โ€‹He rebuilt the heart of the state: Under KCTA, he oversaw the massive infrastructure revamp of the capitalโ€”bringing order, beauty, and modern urban standards to Kaduna. โ€‹He was the ultimate firefighter: When tough, unpopular, but necessary decisions needed to be made for the progress of the state, Hafiz Bayero took responsibility without flinching or shifting blame. โ€‹True Loyalty is Built on Sacrificial Service โ€‹In politics, many people claim closeness to a leader when power is high. But true Amana (trust) is when a leader can sleep with both eyes closed knowing a critical mission is in your hands. โ€‹Mallam Nasir El-Rufai trusted Hafiz Bayero with some of the most challenging mandates of his administration for one simple reason: Hafiz never fails delivering, and he never breaks faith. โ€‹He didn't use his proximity to power to build a personal empire or engage in petty politics. He used it to work 18-hour days, serve the public, protect the legacy of his mentor, and demonstrate that loyalty is measured by output, integrity, and remaining steadfast through every storm. โ€‹A Standard for the Next Generation โ€‹Hafiz Bayero is a living masterclass for young Nigerians entering governance: โ€‹No noise, just results: He proved that true impact speaks louder than any political grandstanding. โ€‹Unwavering loyalty: He showed that standing by a boss and a shared vision requires courage, resilience, and personal sacrifice. โ€‹Class and dignity: Through intense political pressure and heavy workloads, he carried himself with modesty, composure, and absolute respect for everyone. โ€‹To Hafiz Bayero: Your quiet strength, incredible work ethic, and fierce loyalty did not go unnoticed. You proved that leadership is about service, and character is everything. โ€‹Nigeria needs more young leaders built like you! โ€‹Drop a word of respect in the comments for Hafiz Bayeroโ€”the silent force who made things happen! Share this to celebrate genuine loyalty and competence! ๐Ÿ‘‡ Zakariyya Ahmad Mai Saje โœ๏ธ

Dayyabu Muhammad Paki, Elrufai's former DG KADFAMA wrote "Playing the Game Without Losing Our Soul In politics today, party defections are rarely about public service. More often than not, they are calculated moves for personal survival and self-interest. While personal interest and the public good donโ€™t always conflict, we need boundaries. Without recalibration, this endless opportunism will completely derail good governance. As a small player on the ground, Iโ€™m often told that to succeed, you must "get your hands dirty" and play in the mud. Engaging in politics should not mean acquiring permanent moral stains. There is a world of difference between strategic compromise for the public good and abandoning your ethics for personal gain. If we sacrifice our character just to stay at the table, we become part of the problem. The reality on the ground is troubling. We constantly see gross incompetence rewarded, while the core values of good governance are stripped away. Many dismiss this as "just part of the game." But when politics becomes purely about holding power rather than serving people, it is the public that pays the ultimate price. As the political landscape evolves, those of us at the grassroots face a clear choice: follow the crowd of self-serving realignments, or stand firm for principled leadership. My prayer remains simple: May God give us the wisdom to recognize the right path, and the strength to walk it. ๐Ÿ™"

They can arrest a governor, a senator, a former official or even a sarcastic author. They cannot arrest the market woman in Kaduna who remembers when her children could go to school without fear. They cannot arrest the farmer in Zaria who knows what it means to have a leader who built roads and hospitals instead of buying properties in Dubai. They cannot arrest the youth in Kafanchan who has seen what governance looks like when it is driven by ideas rather than looting. And that is why the people must resist. Resist the intimidation. Resist the threats. Resist the temptation of rice and noodles and bread, though if hunger is the weapon being used against you, take the food they offer and use the energy to sweep them out. There is no shame in eating the rice of the oppressor if the same hand that stole from you then feeds you crumbs is the hand you will vote out. Collect the rice. Collect the noodles. Collect the bread. You will need the energy on election day. But do not indulge in violence. Do not let them bait you into chaos, because chaos is their plan. The APC will do anything to postpone the election, to create a state of emergency, to find an excuse to remain in power without facing the voters. Violence is the excuse they are praying for. Do not give it to them. Stay peaceful. Stay focused. Stay organized. Mobilize your neighbours. Educate your community on how to vote and how to protect the vote. On the final day, come out in numbers so large that no rigging machine can swallow them. Send them packing with your ballot, not your fist. Look around you and ask what this government has actually delivered. A former senator turned blogger whose only achievement is sharing transistor radios on camera. Ministers whose only visible success is accumulating properties abroad while their people wallow in poverty under the shackles of bandits and terrorists. Appointees who have turned public funds into private estates while the roads in their own constituencies remain death traps. These are the people who want to keep El-Rufai in a cage. These are the paper tigers. They have no record to run on, so they are running on fear. They are afraid of a man who refused to be subdued. A man who refused to be silenced by betrayals and backstabbing. A man who, even from behind bars, commands more loyalty and respect than they will ever earn in a lifetime of sycophancy. The lion is caged, but the lion is not dead. The people are not dead. The votes are not dead. The anger is not dead. On election day, let the cage be opened by the ballot. Let the roar be heard in every polling unit. Avenge the treatment of El-Rufai with your votes. Refuse to be intimidated. Refuse to be bought. Refuse to be divided. The paper tigers are terrified because they know that when the people speak, the cage becomes irrelevant. The lion walks free. And the paper burns. Go out and do it for MALLAM NASIR EL-RUFAI. A Caged Lion is Still a Lion: Avenge El-Rufaiโ€™s Treatment With Your Votes โ€” Refuse to Be Intimidated Today marks two hundred and forty-six days since Mallam Nasir El-Rufai voluntarily surrendered himself to an investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, and subsequently the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, on February 18, 2026, a detention that has now stretched through nearly eight months of a man who committed no crime other than refusing to kneel. A lot of people, supporters and even enemies alike, have registered their frustration at a spectacle that has long ceased to resemble justice and has become something closer to a political hostage situation. The campaign is about to start, and the paper tigers know it, which is precisely why the cage has not been opened. They thought the cage would silence him. They thought the chains would make the people forget. They were wrong. A caged lion is still a lion but more dangerous. The roar does not die because the mouth is behind bars. It echoes louder. It travels farther. It wakes up those who were sleeping. And in Kaduna, across the North, and through every corner of this country where people still believe that leadership is about service and not about swallowing the commonwealth, the people are waking up. They are watching. They are remembering. And they are angry. Let us be clear. The detention of Nasir El-Rufai is no longer a legal matter. It has become a political circus, and the clowns are not even pretending anymore. A former senator allegedly stood in Zaria and begged the governor to keep El-Rufai locked up until after the 2027 election, until the governor receives his crown, and only then should the lion be released. Read that again. A public figure, in broad daylight, at a political gathering, openly linking the continued detention of a former governor to the electoral ambitions of the incumbent. This is not justice. This is not the rule of law. This is fear wearing the mask of legality. And the mask is slipping. Who are these people demanding that El-Rufai remain caged? Their records speak louder than any label. They are the ones who have never won anything on their own. They are the political tourists who attach themselves to whoever holds the microphone and the purse then betray them and find another host to leech again. They could not win a ward councillorship without standing on another manโ€™s structure. They have no history of political triumph in and of themselves. And now, terrified that the lion might walk out of the cage and remind the people of what real leadership looks like, they are begging for the detention to continue. Paper tigers. That is what they are. Paper tigers roaring at a lion behind bars because they know that if the bars were removed, they would scatter like leaves in a storm. Their fear is understandable. El-Rufaiโ€™s greatest strength was never in the Government House. It was never in the ministerial chambers. It was never in the boardroom of the APC or the corridors of power. His greatest strength is the people. Not just in Kaduna, though Kaduna knows him best. Across Nigeria, there are people who remember a man who spoke truth to power when it was dangerous. Who stood against the naira redesign policy not because it hurt his partyโ€™s chances, but because he saw ordinary Nigerians suffering at the ATM queues, unable to buy food, unable to transport themselves to work. He said it plainly, without fear of the cabal in Aso Rock: the president made a mistake. How many of those now calling him a criminal had the courage to say that? Not one. They were too busy calculating how to position themselves for the next round of appointments.

You might not be convinced, but if thereโ€™s one thing Isah Ashiru would bring to the table, it is legitimacy and accountability. He would also stand with his people. He wouldnโ€™t be a governor who spends most of his weekdays in Abuja. Isah Ashiru is a grassroots politician with experience who connects with people across every locality in Kaduna State. Lastly, Isah Ashiru would never betray his own people. He has that integrity, he wouldnโ€™t act like a tyrant while governing the affairs of the masses.

Today, AG Secretary @Bashir_GS and I met with Ubaidullah 30, ADC candidate for Unguwan Sanusi Constituency, Kaduna State House Of Assembly, for a strategic discussion on grassroots mobilization and how @RiseUpNaija_RUN can work with the ADC candidates to strengthen our structures ahead of the 2027 elections. We shared ideas on building a stronger movement, engaging our people, and working together towards our common goals. The focus remains on unity, grassroots engagement, and building a movement that delivers. RiseUp Kaduna. The movement continues. โœŠ๐Ÿฝ
