This looks for fun! For anyone interested in the intersection of science and art
Visualizing Science! I'm holding a series of free, online workshops, thanks to Johns Hopkins University. All are welcome! I plan to have fun with Danielle VanBrabant, Damond Kyllo, and Amey Zhang to introduce visualization topics and challenges. No art experience is necessary.

We are finishing up our science papers at the high school level this month and this is a good reminder to keep your abstract game sharp!
Abstracts are your paper's first impression. A weak abstract can sink even the best research. I transformed my abstract game with this 6-step Nature formula (and you can, too)

Not sure everyone has heard about the Matters Microbial podcast with @markowenmartin, but I am LOVING it. Every episode gets me psyched about science and energized with new questions. Excited to bring new ideas into the classroom too! microbe.tv/mm/

Not sure how I feel reading this. I worked my butt off but had pretty amazing and supportive field experiences all over the world. Only place I was ever objectified or uncomfortable was diving in Saudi Arabia - and even there I was protected by colleagues.
Fieldwork can be challenging for female scientists. Here are 5 ways to make it better - thanks @Shamylto & team! theconversation.com/fieldwor… via @ConversationEDU - ping @melaniefinch_ @DrKJoyce @MeganHiggie

Well this is very exciting news - will have to incorporate this into our bioinformatics class this year. Hoping it will be more informative than hopping between Silva and GG. @TJHSST_Official
