Again: Hey @JCPSKY you should have a teacher or admin touring the Academy for Individual Excellence every day. This is a diverse group with many challenged kids without rich parents hitting educational home runs nonstop. #education #louisville #kykidsmatter

Bad things happen to people. And then they are still responsible for their own actions. I tell students day in and day out, "Who can control you? Only you. No one else here. You are the only one who can control you."

The Class 1A, 2A, and 3A XC championships were Saturday, and I want the Louisville sports community to note that the sophomore girl who won the Homeschool XC championship on the same course on Thursday would have beat every girl in those races. @courierjournal @WDRBWAVE

Color me shocked -SHOCKED- that Applegate was misdiagnosed with MS. Many of us diagnosed with MS spend our lives wondering, "Is that really it? Are you sure?" And if we say it out loud, sometimes the medical team says, "See ya." 1/3

I finally have an appointment with a neuro at Baptist in December. It's been three years this week since I quit my medication-pushing neurologist, only to discover that firing a neurologist blacklists you from Norton's and UofL's entire neurology departments. 2/3

If you want to go down a rabbit hole, read from another "face of MS" (also featured on the cover of the Momentum MS magazine). Dave Bexfield writes about his misdiagnosis and how he decided the culprit of not just MS but all autoimmune is... Lyme. sitdownbeforereading.com/

Please. I'm begging you.
The kids are not alright. Across Europe, young people are protesting issues ranging from a lack of funding for education to the cost of housing, posing massive challenges to governments already under pressure and providing a visible sign of the intergenerational frustration felt by Gen Z. Here's why they're angry: cnn.it/4zUDdu0

FASCINATING loophole outlined by @cobrown – Territories are exempt from Obamacare regulations, and accordingly, their premiums are 60% cheaper. KY officials could drastically slash premiums (up 30% this year and 17% next year) with no new spending. kentuckylantern.com/2026/10/…

When I was 1, my dad moved my family to Georgia so he could help make Vogtle a world-class nuclear facility. 2 years ago, my campaign platform included putting a nuclear plant in eastern Kentucky, so you can imagine my excitement now. Surpass Vogtle? My dad would say, "Let's go."

Give us more like Ralph Alvarado. Give us more like Marco Rubio. Give us more like Ron DeSantis. Give us reasons to stay in this party. Please.

I'm in a class today where the students had 1 minute to try to get through a sheet of multiplication problems, single digits up to 9x9. It's the first time I've seen a multiplication drill, in two and a half years subbing in JCPS. It's 8th grade.
Im not shre people realize how terrible math instruction is right now No drills. No memorization of math facts. No direct instruction, modeling, or practice Lots of “curiosity” and “exploration” to build “math confidence” Essentially, kids are left to just figure it out

I'm lecturing my freshmen today on ethics, plagiarism, and AI, and while looking up a plagiarized quote, I got this from Gemini. Golden. You can't make this stuff up.

Yes, homeschoolers should do a good job of educating their kids and helping them become responsible adults. Also, the state has no standing.

The biggest dumpster fire in literacy right now is teachers writing the answers to everything, so that kids who can't read those answers can copy them for parents and admins.

Liberal friends, if your answer is "no," read @glennbeck's Addicted to Outrage. Please.
Would you refuse to read a book by someone who has different political/ societal views to you, even if the actual book didn’t convey those views?

You can find a great answer here, and it's about drama. thisamericanlife.org/890/max…
Why doesn't the MLB just allow the ABS system call strikes and balls and eliminate time consuming challenges by batter, pitcher, and catcher.

Only because they don't track the homicide rate in North Korea.

My 14-year-old would say it's The Wild Robot. She only watches it so she can trash every single scene. 🤣
What’s the worst film adaptation of a genuinely great book?
