Sky offering more coverage on a potential sacking of a manager than they did on the evening of the announcement that City were guilty of years of cheating.

I've had my differences with Saeed before but this by @rioferdy5 is ABSOLUTELY disgusting.
You are defending these owners so much that you are resorting to body shaming and personal insults.
Shown your true colors.
So disappointed by Rio Ferdinand.

For the last 3 years, City fans have said that if they’re found guilty they’ll take their medicine and accept it.
Turns out, since being found guilty, all they’ve done is rant, blame a group of non-cheating clubs, and invent narratives that fully justify law-breaking.
Twats.

This Wrexham advert ahead of facing Southampton this weekend is absolutely BRUTAL. 😭
Southampton were kicked out of last season’s Championship play-offs for spying… and Wrexham finished SEVENTH — just one place outside them. 🐲💀

🗣️ When United announced they would be filing a formal complaint to PGMOL after the Bournmouth game last season, Telegraph journalist Matt Law responded on social media with: "Manchester United complaining about penalties 🤣🤣"
A winger was wrestled to the ground with no attempt to play the ball. VAR failed to intervene. Minutes later, a near identical incident at the other end resulted in a red card and a penalty that earned the opposition a draw. A club raised a formal complaint about the inconsistency. A journalist responded with laughing emojis.
And after the VAR fiasco against City, Darren Bent, now working for TalkShite, chimed in with “This is football, United are angry today because of the goal and the offside interference and against ipswich they got away with a handball”.
I mean, never mind that the rules of the game were actually correctly applied against Ipswich so we didn’t “Getaway” with anything! And in this instance the rules weren’t applied correctly and we lost out.
The implicit message is basically “because it's Manchester United, the error doesn't matter. So a formal complaint is worthy of ridicule rather than scrutiny.”
For us United supporters, this is the usual exhausting double standard that gets applied when our club is on the wrong end of a bad decision. Other clubs' grievances are treated as legitimate. United's grievances are treated as moaning. Never mind that the complaint has merit.
Among supporters of rival clubs, this kind of mockery is entirely human. It's tribal, it's what people do. Nobody expects objectivity from a lifelong fan of another club.
But for those who are paid to report and analyse the sport, to use a legitimate officiating complaint as material for social media engagement is a failure of basic professional responsibility.

I’ve rewatched the 2nd half of the Manchester derby yesterday completely to understand how could only 5 minutes of additional time were added.
Here is the debrief:
VAR review of Haaland goal: 3m55s
Time taken for city to take freekicks/throw ins/corners: 8m25s
Michael Oliver obstructing the play: 38s
Maguire/Enzo fight 1m40s
Substitutions: 1m15s
Total: 15 minutes 53 seconds of time wasted!
How on earth was only 5 minutes added? 💀

Howard Webb in 2023 said the decision to let Ake’s goal stand at Man City- Fulham was an “error” from ref Michael Oliver & VAR.
2026: Oliver & VAR make the same mistake with Enzo Fernandez for Haaland's goal in the Manchester Derby.
PGMOL double stds.

There was a time when a show would premiere and get 22 episodes. Then take 3 months off for the Summer, and return in the Fall for another 22 episodes. Funny thing, as the series kept coming back every year, the audience would grow and be more invested. Who would've thunk it?
New data from @luminate_data suggests that when people wait over 1.5 years for a show to return, viewership drops dramatically.

We used to be football fans, We used to love our teams and just support our teams to win games and celebrate when our teams win.
Now everybody is an analyst, they watch matches not to support but to pick and analyse only the negatives, even when their team is winning.

This appearance meant more than most 🥹❤️
Australian rugby league player Jai Arrow had retired after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease, just two games short of 100 appearances for his club, South Sydney Rabbitohs.
His club secured special approval for him to start their final two regular-season matches, coming off after the opening seconds. Even the opposition clubs backed it.
And this is the moment he reached his 100th.
When you’ve spent years sharing a dressing room with the lads, walking out alongside them becomes something you almost take for granted. I can only imagine what it meant to Jai to pull that shirt on and join them again.
So pleased he got to have this moment with his club and his family.
Class from everyone who made this happen 👏

Manchester United fans will complain when the club struggles to get good money for its players, but sometimes we need to look in the mirror.
We absolutely DESTROY our own players.
One bad performance and the player is getting cooked by thousands of United fans. The tweets go viral, the memes spread, the narrative grows, and suddenly the player has a reputation that follows him everywhere.
Then we’re shocked when clubs don't want to pay big money for him.
Look at Manchester City.
Savinho struggled. Marmoush struggled for minutes. Nico González never really nailed down his place.
Yet you rarely see their fanbase publicly dismantling these players the way United fans do.
City just package the player, protect the asset and move on.
PSG did the same with Ugarte. He struggled there, but they still moved him on for around €60m, basically what they had paid Sporting a year earlier.
United fans need to understand something:
You can criticise a player without destroying his market value.
Sometimes we are our own worst enemies.
