Leo Ostigard scores. The man who made an error against Scotland that led to a goal which prevented them from qualifying to the last Euros, what a 180 degree story. I watched the Norway:Dark Horse documentary on Netflix few days ago. The documentary was to show the struggles of Norway, and how they haven’t qualified for any major tournament since 1998. They were close to the Euros until a last minute error by Ostigard. Ostigard, in that documentary, said he cried so much after the game, he felt he cost his country such a great opportunity to qualify for their first tournament since ‘98. Same Ostigard has just scored in Norway’s return to the World Cup after 28 years. He wasn’t even born when they last played. What a story.
