We hacked the AWS JavaScript SDK, a core library powering the entire @AWScloud ecosystem - including the AWS Console itself 🤯
How did we do it? Just two missing characters was all it took.
This is the story of #CodeBreach 🧵👇

I really like this idea. it is very much still in Beta, and is missing many many features and consistency, but its potential is there.
On BTC something like this would be considered spam, not to mention any message would take forever.
On Kaspa it's a Tuesday.
I would like to welcome everyone to Kasia @kasiamessaging

Truly P2P Open sourced encrypted messaging on $kas.
Supports:
-Encrypted messages, so only the recipient can view messages sent for them.
-Encrypted file transfers up to 10kb.
-Import and export backups of all messages, so make sure you regularly backup for when Kaspa prunes.
Please note this is a beta release and should not be treated as your main kaspa wallet storage solution. 10 kas is enough to send 100's of thousands of messages.
To start a conversation with another user you need to create a "handshake" these handshake messages will cost 0.2 kas + fees but if they/you accept 0.2 kas will be returned in the response. After the Handshake messages only cost transaction fees based off your message length.
Massive thanks to:

Dropped a technical post on L1/L2 design, atomic composability, and other discussions
Atomic composability sounds like a nuance but it's vital for ensuring defragmented unified shared-state which doesn't force users, devs, LPs to work in isolated rollups

PR github.com/kaspanet/rusty-ka… by @Max143672 & @OriNewman was just merged.
This PR is a huge milestone for Kaspa and its script engine in particular. It adds
1. support for introspection** opcodes which allow inspecting the script public key and amounts of inputs and outputs (from within script execution).
2. support for 8-byte arithmetic operations
These additions allow the implementation of KIP-10 additive addresses [1][2][5]; see kip-10 example therein. They are also essential for future ZK opcodes (which require this contextual knowledge as proof public inputs).
In terms of #Crescendo roadmap, this was the last major milestone before moving to the 10BPS node configuration & spec stage.
** Also named sometimes “covenants” [3][4]:

【 $KAS: A Legacy-Free L1 Built for Scalability】
Thanks to @Kaspa_KEF, today at the #Kaspa Innovation Summit, me and our team had the opportunity to learn about Kaspa and its unique approach to blockchain technology.
Before this event, I wasn’t very familiar with Kaspa, but thanks to the invitation from the Kaspa Ecosystem Foundation, I got to see firsthand what makes Kaspa stand out.
First, I’d like to acknowledge the impressive technology and software stack that Kaspa employs.
@CryptoAspect's presentation on the technical roadmap was particularly enlightening. The clarity and depth of his explanation provided my team with a better understanding of Kaspa's potential in the L1 space.
(This picture is a photo of Anton Yemelyanov and our CTO @cbd1913, thanks to this meeting we had a very in-depth technical discussion and learned a lot.)
From my point of view, Kaspa's design aims to be a “better L1” without relying on Layer 2 or sidechains for scalability. Its core innovations set it apart from blockchains dependent on Layer 2 solutions like Polygon zkEVM or zkSync.
▋After doing a lot of research I think the key features are:
1. Legacy-Free Architecture for Scalability
Unlike many blockchains that have to accommodate legacy infrastructure, Kaspa is built from the ground up to prioritize scalability. This legacy-free approach means it can implement state-of-the-art solutions without being burdened by outdated technologies. The use of a BlockDAG structure enables Kaspa to scale efficiently on Layer 1, achieving up to 10 Blocks Per Second (BPS), making it different from older blockchains that rely on L2 solutions to handle scalability.
2. Innovative BlockDAG for Parallel Processing
Kaspa uses a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture, allowing for parallel block processing, which boosts its Blocks Per Second (BPS) to up to 10. Unlike traditional blockchain structures that suffer from linear block confirmation bottlenecks, Kaspa’s BlockDAG can manage multiple blocks simultaneously, enabling higher throughput and faster transaction confirmations directly on Layer 1. This parallel processing capability provides Kaspa with a significant performance advantage.
3. Native Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Support with OpCode Integration
Kaspa is planning to natively support Zero-Knowledge (ZK) operations through dedicated OpCodes, allowing for enhanced privacy and efficient smart contract execution directly on its Layer 1. Unlike blockchains that require L2 solutions or external computations for ZK proofs, Kaspa’s native ZK support via OpCodes ensures that privacy-preserving contracts can be executed more efficiently, with reduced latency and less complexity, directly at the foundational layer.
4. Optimized for High Performance with Rust
The implementation of Rust, a high-performance and memory-safe programming language, highlights Kaspa’s commitment to building an efficient blockchain. The transition of nodes from Golang to Rust has enhanced performance and stability. Rust’s emphasis on safety and concurrency makes it ideal for blockchain applications, providing Kaspa with a robust, secure foundation to meet growing transaction demands without the limitations imposed by legacy languages like C++.
5. Decentralized Governance and Adaptive Development
Kaspa’s governance model is designed to be highly decentralized, fostering rapid adaptation to new technologies and market demands. The Kaspa community is very active on Discord, which facilitates the discussion and adoption of new features. Without legacy constraints, Kaspa can upgrade features, optimize protocols, and adapt governance policies quickly, setting it apart from more conservative blockchains. This approach ensures that Kaspa can remain at the forefront of innovation while maintaining decentralization and security.
Kaspa’s Layer 1 design inherently addresses scalability without relying on Layer 2 or sidechains, ensuring high throughput and rapid confirmations.
Unlike zkEVM or zkSync, Kaspa’s architecture simplifies the process by avoiding the need for synchronization between layers, reducing complexity and enhancing user experience. Kaspa's design also eliminates the need for external data availability layers, keeping data validation consistent directly on L1.
Kaspa's approach minimizes system complexity, allowing all operations directly on L1 without cross-layer synchronization or fund transfers. This design reduces delays common in zkRollup-based systems during peak times.
▋A better L1
In summary, Kaspa positions itself as a “better L1” by leveraging innovations like DAG architecture and native ZK support to provide a streamlined, efficient blockchain solution. This reduces complexity, increases security, and improves user experience. Kaspa’s decentralized nature and commitment to innovation make it a promising project.
The fair launch, PoW model, DAG-based scalability, and adoption of ZK technology give it the potential to become an even better version of Bitcoin. I’m genuinely excited to see Kaspa's journey and remain optimistic about its future. – at Hong Kong

I'll be doing a second RK workshop today @ 19:00 UTC
The focus of this code walkthrough will be to get an understanding of Kaspa's DAG “reachability” layer.
The security of the Ghostdag protocol heavily relies on analyzing the connectivity of block subsets in order to identify the largest connected cluster which represents the honest majority. Throughout this search, the most fundamental question asked is whether two blocks have knowledge of each other, i.e., is there a path of DAG edges from one to other. We call this a reachability query.
Answering hundreds if not thousands such queries per second with an ever growing and dynamic DAG structure is anything but an easy task. Designing it in such a way that it can easily withstand 10BPS or more is a technology marvel I'm proud of being a significant part of.
So, if you find this to be interesting please join us today of Kaspa's discord server discord.gg/kaspa?event=12933…

The KEF wants to reaffirm that if there is a DEX that is invested or endorsed by the Foundation, we will publicly announce that on X. The recent activities spotted are NOT part of the KEF plans.
There are two teams in Kaspa ecosystem right now, one working on a DEX protocol and another on a DEX solution for Kaspa KRC-20. (actual real DEX implementations). These solutions will render any centralized swaps like @kdxdefi non-profitable.
