Since we're on the topic of Cheesecake Factory and chain restaurants Early 2000's chain restaurants were peak living. You used to have to wait like an hour at TGI Friday's or Outback for a table for 4 Incredible downfall from what they were, at least in my mind growing up

First 70.3 in the books this weekend, lots of fun Personal goal was to go sub 6 hours and got it done (without hyroxing myself) Maybe one day I’ll go for a full Ironman but that feels a bit insane and i probably need to be a lot fitter for that

Memecoins are inherently and will always be PvP because they don’t do anything
whoever solves the PVP issue in memecoins will make millions and I’m not exaggerating about that

Have you considered buying a home with a stone mill that dates back to the 1700s built into the home?

I think traders have been celebrities for quite some time Warren Buffett would draw like 50k people annually to Nebraska(!) so people could hear him and Munger speak for a day Difference imo is that Buffett would provide a ton of info for free and you could invest alongside him via owning BRK. Buffett succeeds, you succeed. On the other end of spectrum, the trencher celeb class is almost entirely PvP. Through a combination of factors (skill, information flow, outright bad/fraud like bundling) the trencher celebs succeed when the common man usually gets shafted. When they succeed, someone is eating the L. The game is the game though and if someone wants to dominate the trenches through skill/crime or whatever means necessary, it doesn't matter much to me since you're not dumping on my head! All that to say, how you make your money determines the perception of the people around you, how revered or reviled you are, etc

Comparison is the thief of joy Cushy life, wife/kid. But because tech people are making money faster it’s uncomfy Learning to be content with what you have is a skill
The definition of the NYC problem: - Mid-30s with a $4mm net worth - Net worth only increasing by $300–400k/year - Will only retire with a low eight-figure net worth

People really seem to hate papertrade which makes me want to see it succeed (that and the rewards are nice)
