If by stepping out of line you mean murder then yes, that's exactly what we are signaling
Republicans will deny this but the point of this is to signal to the population that they aren't safe and if they step out of line they're next.

.@jonfavs, I know exactly what it feels like when your daughter goes off to a university to visit friends and NEVER comes home. My daughter Katie was killed by an illegal immigrant who was incentivized and protected by policies that failed her at every stop, by Illinois and by the Biden administration. So when I hear selective appeals to compassion, I have to ask: where was the compassion for Katie? Where is it for her family? Katie is in a grave. I'll never see her again. Why? Compassion cannot mean caring deeply about one person while ignoring the innocent people who paid the price for the policies being defended. Selective compassion isn't compassion. It's ideology wearing a compassionate face.
My son is about to start kindergarten and I literally cannot imagine how I would feel or what I would do if masked agents hauled him off to a detention center with no explanation and no way of knowing when he'd get out. What our government keeps doing in our name is monstrous.

Typical but vile rhetoric
The death of Jason Arday hit so close to home that I had no words yesterday. But I woke up with words. To be a prominent antiracist Black scholar is to know you are a target, almost totally surrounded by resentments. You know that at any point, the attacks can come like a lynch mob. And if you die from all the attacks, the media still calls the attacks on you “accusations” to wash their hands of the blood. Your lynchers announce your death as if they had no role in your lynching. My latest at The Emancipator. theemancipator.org/2026/08/1…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
To lynch means when an angry crowd or mob kills a person without a legal trial or lawful justice, usually by hanging them from a rope. The tragic death of Jason Arday has been reported as a suicide following his resignation over allegations of plagiarism & data fraud. telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/202…

It was the pressing down of any disagreement or question, it was the constant threat of violence, it was the destruction of the careers and lives of countless people (and the consequent evisceration of the entertainment industry), it was the the removal of choice for vaccines, it was the inflamation of racism, it was the neutering of law enforcement, it was the numbing of meritocracy, it was the dismantling of the spirit of quite a few cities (and the accompanying declining property values), it was the collapse of a political party, it was the crushing of common sense (particularly in the young), it was the ruin of university value, it was the end of trust in the media, it was the fostering of the most selfish era in modern society. It was fascism, intolerance, and decidedly un-American. It was shameful and despicable. It was not “bad tweets.”
It's wild that the left's excesses were bad tweets a half decade ago while the moderates' excesses are like foreign wars with death tools in the hundreds of thousands and the right's excesses are like literal attempts at authoritarianism. What are we even talking about on here anymore

The trans kids will be ok competing with their on sex too.

I know I’m shrill about this but it really upsets me that people prioritize the sanctity & integrity of competition in high school or college athletics over the minuscule number of trans athletes who just want to play & be a part of something. I promise your daughters will be ok

Reminder that Candace Owens is close friends with the Tates and they have actively been promoted/defended by much of the alt-right, including Tucker Carlson. Keep that in mind the next time anyone from that crowd pretends to care about the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Andrew Tate is now facing charges involving child sexual abuse material.

I think the funniest thing about The Odyssey is Eumaeus is played by John Leguizamo, who boycotted the Mario movies because he said Mario and Luigi should be Latino.

Honestly? If that’s illegal, I’d hire the same clown to come to court and do the same for the judge’s sentence.

Guy who has never had a real job is mad that guy who has created several very successful company makes money.
Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500. If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.

Democrats opposed innovation and success. They want everyone to be equally poor, except them.
Elon Musk just became the world’s first trillionaire. Let’s make sure he’s also the last.

Better than being a whorehouse like when you were there
This is what Trump's done to the people's house: A third of it is rubble. Another third is a cage match. What a metaphor.

By 1900, the United States had achieved a 90% literacy rate largely by using McGuffey Readers in one-room schoolhouses.  But, yeah, NYC’s problem is it’s not spending enough money.

Once again I am entertained by the certainty that so many folks with zero knowledge of what's really happening with Iran have that this is a disaster. They do this every time things aren't going the way they think it should. So predictable and boring.

Am I supposed to cry for the people who called me a Nazi for years and said I deserved to die during the pandemic? Not happening. The crew will get other jobs. They have real skills. Colbert is rich. Boo fricking hoo
You are celebrating the fact that all of these people are losing their jobs. All because your dear leader can’t take a joke. Seriously wtf is wrong with you.
