We're at a turning point in Western culture. People have recognized the narratives of the 20th century were largely false. As a result, many of the narratives that find purchase in the next decade will be of extreme consequence. Here are five maxims I offer into the zeitgeist with the hope that we can increase the honesty and good faith in the conversations of the 21st century: 1) Ethnic ingroup preference is either immoral for all or it is permissible for all. 2) Preserving an ethnic and cultural identity is either immoral for all nations or it is permissible for all nations. 3) Applying lower moral, academic, or legal standards to specific groups assumes their ethical, intellectual, or executive deficiency. 4) Accepting or celebrating self-destructive habits is either a form of hate or cowardice. 5) If you cannot be a gracious guest, you cannot expect a hospitable host.
