This puts the stack in the dreaded UPDATE_ROLLBACK_FAILED state. You can't remove the assignments from the stack in that state, you can only delete the entire stack (reminder that your permission set resources should have DeletionPolicy: Retain). 3/6

I keep saying it, keep it simple for as long as you can, and only reach out for more complex solution when you must.

me: yes!
X: why..?
me: because simplicity wins and most of the time good enough is good enough 🤷♂️ You should start with the simplest solution and make it more complex when you need to, not the other way around

1/Extensions is about removing yet another snowflakiness about #awslambda. For most #serverless folks, this will manifest as a massive uplevelling of what their preferred operational tools can do with Lambda. The API is just our way of being transparent about how that happens.
Introducing AWS Lambda Extensions – In preview: A new way to easily integrate Lambda with your favorite monitoring, observability, security, and governance tools. 🔥👍🧰🔧🪛⚒️🔩aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute… #serverless #aws #lambda

In the past 3 years I've worked with 3 different clients using #kubernetes: Kops + AWS and GKE
In all 3 cases k8s has successfully managed workloads at scale, yet I wouldn't recommend it to any future clients. The upfront and ongoing investment is astonishing

People is focusing on AWS re:Invent being 100% online this year but I think the real change here is it’s going to be free.

So, now that the internet is back:
1 - be nice with your internet provider - this isn't something one deals with daily
2 - as above, but with your game server provider
3 - be nice with everyone actually

This should put an end to cryptic setup errors caused by improper indentation or unnoticed typos in your service configuration
