MEN NEED SPACE TO TALK, TOO. You don't have to carry everything alone. Honest conversations lead to stronger relationships and timely support. Reaching out is strength. Many men are taught to stay silent. That can change. Safe spaces to talk, listen and seek support build healthier individuals, families and communities. #MensWellbeing #MenCanTalk #MaleEngagement

A STEP TOWARDS JUSTICE, BUT IMPLEMENTATION IS KEY. On 21 October 2026, Kenya’s National Assembly passed the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2023, seeking to strengthen public awareness of sexual offences and protect survivors’ right to education, including teenage mothers. This is a welcome step towards justice and equality. At COVAW, we believe every woman and girl deserves dignity, safety, access to justice and the opportunity to fulfil her potential. Laws must translate into action. Survivors deserve protection, support and uninterrupted access to education, free from stigma and discrimination. Justice must be more than words on paper. #COVAW #EndGBV #WomensRights #GirlsRights #AccessToJustice #SurvivorSupport #RightToEducation #EndSexualViolence

Exercise 🏊🏽‍♂️ helps #ageing muscles perform an important internal cleanup, making it easier for them to maintain healthy tissue and recover from damage. Exercise does more than stimulate muscles 💪 to grow stronger. According to research findings, #physicalactivity can also help restore the cellular maintenance system that becomes disrupted during aging. The researchers found that exercise activates regulatory proteins that reduce DEAF1 levels. This helps return mTORC1 activity to a healthier balance, allowing #muscle cells to remove damaged proteins while continuing to produce the new proteins they need. dx.doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2508…

A Case Brief on the recent High Court ruling (HSO & 3 Others v DPP & 6 Others, Petition No. 27 of 2020 [2026] KEHC 6906) on Consensual Adolescent Relationships in Kenya. The High Court did declare the application of sections 8, 9 and 11 of the Sexual Offences Act to consensual, non‑coercive and non‑exploitative sexual conduct between adolescents of close age proximity as inconsistent with Articles 27, 28, 31, 43 and 53. The court directed police and prosecutors to differentiate consensual peer relationships from coercion or exploitation, ordered the ODPP to gazette prosecutorial guidelines, required police protocols to be aligned with constitutional rights, and suspended two criminal cases involving consensual adolescent conduct. #AdolescentJusticeKE

Countries across the Western Pacific and South-East Asia are accelerating action to integrate essential oral health care into universal health coverage through the 100-Day Sprint. At the Sprint’s midpoint, national #OralHealth leaders have gathered in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, for the 16th Asian Chief Dental Officers Meeting, where countries are refining essential oral health benefit packages and identifying practical ways to translate policy commitments into sustainable country action. Together, WHO regional and country leaders underscore why this work matters — and what it will take to accelerate progress towards universal health coverage for oral health. #UniversalHealthCoverage #PrimaryHealthCare
