The return and sustainable reintegration of refugees + IDPs isn’t just about brick & mortar.
Protection, social cohesion & investment in the human capital of Syrians are equally critical.

One Step Closer to a Syria Without Camps
Over 3 days, 3 voluntary return convoys supported 1,100 IDP Syrians return from 6 informal settlements in Deir-ez-Zor to their communities. Facilitated by UNHCR & partners, the initiative marks a first step towards rebuilding lives at home.
Denmark 🇩🇰 is proud to support the Syrian people, @OCHA_Syria and the #SyriaHumanitarianFund in delivering life-saving assistance to those in need across Syria.
#OCHAthanks 🇩🇰 Denmark for its generous USD 9 million contribution to the #SyriaHumanitarianFund.
Your support strengthens the humanitarian response in Syria, enabling partners to deliver life-saving assistance and essential services to vulnerable communities across the country.
🇩🇰 Denmark was one of the countries which gave its support to #Syria and @syrianmofaex in New York yesterday.
With the support of more than forty countries from around the world, Syria spoke clearly and responsibly before the United Nations Security Council, rejecting the violation of its sovereignty and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s entry into Syrian territory, while reaffirming its commitment to the country’s unity, independent decision-making and territorial integrity.
We deeply appreciate the swift international response in support of the Syrian Arab Republic in the face of continued Israeli violations, and welcome this broad international consensus, which reaffirms that respect for the independence and territorial integrity of states is a fundamental principle of the international order.
Syria will continue to pursue a responsible approach, guided by international law and the United Nations Charter, and will continue to defend its national rights through all legitimate political and diplomatic means.
Syria’s security, stability and territorial integrity are a shared interest of both the Syrian people and the international community. With this in mind, we will continue working to consolidate stability and strengthen respect for international law.
Congratulations to #Syria and @syrianmofaex on the adoption by the IAEA Board of Governors of a resolution to remove Syria from the group of non-compliant states and end its long-running investigation into the country’s nuclear activities.
Milestone decision by #IAEA Board of Governors today to recognise Syria‘s 🇸🇾cooperation with the IAEA and DG @rafaelmgrossi. #NB8 countries 🇩🇰🇪🇪🇫🇮🇮🇸🇱🇻🇱🇹🇳🇴🇸🇪 welcome this achievement & look forward to continued IAEA information. Important step for global non-proliferation regime!
Welcome to Syria. Looking forward to working with @UndpSyria incl. on Denmark’s support to the UN Joint Programme in #Aleppo and to meeting up soon @MAHauenstein.
Welcoming our new @UNDP Resident Rep. @MAHauenstein to Syria.
"I arrive in Syria at a pivotal time. I look forward to working closely with the government, partners and communities to support #Syria's path towards recovery and development".
