it is funny when I see people act like “abundance” was a failure because it certainly convinced the correct people

Hello! I'd like to write a story about how fans are supporting Jalen Hurts in his recovery.
If you or someone you know has sent a card/letter/gift to him, and would be willing to share why, I'd love to talk!
I can be reached at [email protected] or in DMs. Thanks as always☺️

Now there were a number of issues with the day to day operation of the ANS, especially it's financial situation, but from the Art Museum to World Cafe to now this, every cultural institution in this city seems to have picked up leaders with their heads in their ass simultaneously
What went wrong at the Academy of Natural Sciences? From years of financial trouble to leadership missteps and a messy breakup with Drexel, here’s how Philly’s beloved dinosaur museum got here.

Debbie jumping into the mix was my favorite part of the entire episode. I love how Conan synced up his chaotic energy with her instantly and they just kept riffing. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful ending.

BREAKING: The PA House and Senate just officially passed a bell-to-bell ban to get cell phones out of our classrooms.
I called for this in my Budget Address and repeatedly urged the legislature to act — and now, we've brought Democrats and Republicans together to get this done for our students and our educators.
It's time to get back to the basics in school and let our kids be kids.

The mic drop I've been struggling to articulate since returning: "We fetishize the city’s tough mentality so much we forget it comes from destitution, not prosperity, and we should be striving for the latter, not constantly reminding ourselves about the former."
What people don’t understand about Philly’s “grit” is that it’s a SUBSTITUTE for the things that make other cities thrive. We don’t have the richest people, or the smartest, or the luckiest, or the most talented. Grit is what helps close the gap, but you’re better off with the wealth that makes a New York thrive; the talent that makes an SF thrive; the brains that make Boston what it is; the happenstance that brought the nation’s capital to a swamp on the banks of the Potomac. We fetishize the city’s tough mentality so much we forget it comes from destitution, not prosperity, and we should be striving for the latter, not constantly reminding ourselves about the former.

That was a defensive performance from Joel Embiid that I wasn't sure he still had left in him.
If it continues, if he can once again anchor a top-10 defense, that would make the Sixers truly scary.

Hard lever: taxes. Grew up here, left for college, came back after I had started a firm and relocated. Thinking I need to leave again because of how odious the structure is.
Cultural: be more welcoming of outsiders/transplants. Cities aren’t stagnant creatures.
