For years mental health support has been undervalued and underfunded. It isn’t right for any young person to have to wait weeks and weeks for support, or be turned down for treatment because they're not ill enough. Every young person should be able to get the support they need.
There is NO EVIDENCE to support the ban on over 18s aquatic training! Read our Freedom of Information request and see for yourself! Bring it back!

A really strong message from @MhairiSwanson 💪 #PowerOfSport
'It is not possible to publish scientific evidence specifically on swimming pools and indoor sports as in general neither the Scottish Government, the Chief Medical Officer's Advisory Group or SAGE have produced evidence papers on a sectoral basis'

Amazing work @DUSWPC ‼️
Use your voices to spread the word, speak up to and challenge your local MSP’s and don’t take no for an answer.

Over the past few months @DUSWPC has been doing a great job raising the profile of why O18 training should be allowed in all tiers.
We encourage all clubs to check out their campaign and get involved in anyway you can so as 2021 may provide a brighter outlook! #scotstuaquatics
We think it's time to #bringbackswimmingtraining for over 18s. If public lane swimming is possible then so is club training. Please make it happen! @JoeFitzSNP @ShonaRobison @NicolaSturgeon @ScottishSwim
An interesting perspective on the devastating impact from the over 18s ban on training with clubs! #bringbackswimmingtraining #saveoursport #MentalHealthMatters

The extent to which we have been ignored for standing up for physical health, mental health, our club and our membership is nothing short of disgraceful!

Banning over 18s aquatic sport should not have become such a political issue. There's either evidence to support the ban or there's not - and there most certainly is NOT!

Getting in the water has many benefits, however, this is one of our favourites😅

With regret, we will make a complaint to the Scot Gov on Monday @JoeFitzSNP. This will mark one month since we initially reached out to you. We believe you have failed as our MSP for the reasons listed below:
In case anyone forgot:
✅ Club training can be socially distanced
✅ Chlorine can kill the virus
✅ The WHO says swimming is safe
✅ Pools are well ventilated environments
✅ There is no evidence to back banning 18+ aquatic training

Come on Joe! Stand up for physical and mental health! Have a read of some statements from last year's new members to see how important joining our club was for them!
