Matthew Perna had so much talent. He played piano and sax. He was an amazing photographer. But his real talent was connecting with people. Strangers, young and old...he loved meeting new people and learning about their lives.
He belonged to a postcard club. He would send several cards to strangers, and in return he would receive several. This was every month. After he died, we found thousands of them in his desk from all over the world.
He was amazing. He was loved. But THIS government pushed him to the point of hopelessness. NO ONE HAS HELD ANYONE ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS DEATH.
My family will not vote for the same Republicans who ignored our calls when we needed their help.
