TP1 hit, then SL at entry. No entry is guaranteed, so locking in profits and moving SL to entry is always a good approach.
Move your SL as the trade moves in your favor and protect your profits.
Most importantly, there was a clear plan laid out on the livestream and in the group before the move happened. Follow the plan, manage your risk, and let the trade play out.

Just sharing this because I think it’s a good example of why having a plan matters.
Yesterday I posted my higher time frame plan for Gold and Bitcoin before the move happened. I covered both scenarios, what I’d do if price moved higher and what I’d do if it moved lower.
Gold gave one of the cleanest entries. Validation was only around 0.2% before price moved about 5%.
Nothing edited. Nothing hindsight. Just the plan before the move and the result after.

Gold — Structure Update
Overall structure remains bearish. Price rejected our zone to the tick. A clean break and retest of that level would have given us the first real argument for a bottom. Instead we printed a lower high, which keeps the bearish structure intact and favours continuation lower.
That makes this a clean short with room to extend. TP1 is already locked in, and the balance is trailing as we work down. #gold #cfd #daytrading

This is what consistency looks like. Showing up trade after trade, not chasing home runs.
Real talk on props though. FundingPips rejected my funded account over risking more than 1%, and that was on my challenge phase trades, not even the funded side. And it wasn't even a real rule. It was a guideline. There was no actual breach. Then after I posted a video showing exactly what they did, they turned around and changed the same rule they used to reject me. That tells you everything.
For the record, risking 1.5 to 2% isn't reckless. A bit more in challenge phase, less on Fridays, but that's just normal discretionary trading.
Point is, don't chase whatever new firm is paying everyone out right now. That hype flips fast and it flips on you. There's only two I actually trust: FTMO and The5ers. Stick to those.
And don't forget the real goal. Props are just a stepping stone. Get your own personal account going and put your focus there. That's the whole game.
