HB1052, a bill to protect South Dakota landowners from the predatory use of eminent domain has PASSED committee and is heading to the Senate Floor for final approval. This was a critical next step in protecting South Dakota landowners and the integrity of our great state. The Senate must deliver on the wishes of South Dakotans. That is, in fact, their job. I stand, uncompromising, in support of South Dakotan landowners. Tomorrow, it’s time to pass this bill through the Senate without amendment, and send it to Governor Rhoden’s desk for his immediate signature.

Congratulations to my friend, Jim Eschenbaum, on being elected the next chairman of the @SDGOP. Jim has been fighting tirelessly in the trenches for all of us. He has been an outstanding leader in protecting the property rights of all South Dakota Residents against the predators at Summit Carbon Solutions and their Green New Scam. Jim is going to oversee an all new era of conservative leadership at the South Dakota GOP. I have zero doubt. He is a proven winner, and I look forward to working alongside him for years to come. Congratulations as well to Ezra Hays and Lee Qualm on running a fair and clean race for chair. These three gentlemen are all great conservatives. Together, they have sent a message to Republicans across the state: Dakota First policies are back in style, and we are ready to build a conservative culture of winning here in South Dakota! Today is a great day.

We are paying very close attention to what happens in the Senate. Who do these legislators serve? We the people or the private, out-of-state companies? We are about to find out.
They are trying to kill this bill in the South Dakota Senate. Make sure your senators is a yes on property rights, and yes on HB1052, and a no on the green new deal.

INTERIM Governor, Larry Rhoden, is working overtime to try and ram his $825 Million Ritz-Carlton Prison down the throat of South Dakota legislators. This is beyond wrong. Conservatives in the legislature MUST STAY STRONG. The money Larry is trying to spend on this prison does not belong to him. It belongs to YOU. This is taxpayer money that belongs to We The People. South Dakota residents have been crippled by increased property taxes due to out of control spending in Pierre. This MUST STOP. South Dakota does not need a state prison that will cost millions of dollars per prisoner. We need property tax relief for every resident now!! The vote to fund this egregious project comes to the floor of the House tomorrow. Legislators MUST VOTE NO!

Update on our fight to save and protect South Dakota. 👇👇👇 Up until recently, I admittedly have not been an overly political person. I spent the last twenty five years focused on building my businesses and raising my family. Everything changed in the lead up to 2024. I, like so many Americans, realized what was at stake. The Washington uniparty and special interest groups from across the globe have infiltrated nearly every level of government in every corner of our communities. That is why I launched Dakota First Action. I wanted to give We The People the financial resources to fight back. I am willing to risk everything I have to save our freedoms and liberties because everything I have earned in life would not have been possible without those freedoms and liberties. Dakota First worked hand in hand with conservative community leaders across the state to usher in a new era of leadership here in South Dakota all while simultaneously bringing an early retirement to 14 of our most toxic and out of touch legislators. I am proud of what we accomplished and am looking forward to what lies ahead. This week, my family and I are traveling to Pierre to celebrate our conservative leaders and legislators for the work they are doing on behalf of We The People. The fight ahead is a tremendous one. 2024 was an important first step in Saving America and South Dakota; however, our work is just beginning. Thanks to everyone for following along. I will continue to fight for all of us and the values we share. -Toby

Love to see our @DakotaFirstSD warriors continuing to put wins on the board. Great job @Aylwardap and Tom Pischke!
🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨 @DefendTheGuard has passed the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee in the South Dakota Senate. S.B. 82 passed with a 3 to 1 vote. Thank you to our lead Senator sponsor Tom Pischke and our longtime lead House sponsor @Aylwardap for their significant efforts on behalf of National Guardsmen. We’re incredibly proud of the progress our organization has made in South Dakota since our bill was first introduced in 2021. Let’s cross the finish line 🇺🇸

Parents in South Dakota deserve the freedom to choose their children’s educational destiny. Conservative states like Texas and Florida are leading the charge on School Choice. It is time for South Dakota to answer Present Trump’s call and join in as well. Two key bills — HB1009 and HB1020 — are moving through the Education Committee TOMORROW. These bills are CRITICAL first steps to empowering parents and securing a brighter future for South Dakota families. I am urging every single member of the committee to vote for BOTH of these bills. We must keep the ball rolling and make progress in putting parents in charge of education, NOT unelected bureaucrats. ⚠️ If we fail to act, our children and grandchildren will be the ones who lose. Our coalition of Dakota First Conservatives campaigned on delivering results, NOT political grandstanding. Let’s get to work!!

📚 This week is School Choice Week! 📚 Conservative lawmakers in Pierre have been off to a great start this session. Our team of Dakota First leaders have already put many wins on the board, such as finally stopping the disastrous Green New Scam CO2 Pipeline. This would not have been possible if not for our sweeping wins in last year’s primary elections. The people have sent a message that they want real, bold, conservative action and they want it right now! On the agenda this week is something I know we all care about: the future of our children and grandchildren. We need to allow parents the opportunity to choose their children’s educational destiny. Simply put, WE NEED SCHOOL CHOICE! Great conservatives in Florida, Texas, North Carolina and Arizona have done a great job at leading the charge on this issue. It is high time that South Dakota does the same. There are two potential solutions coming through the Education Committee this week. HB1009 and HB1020 both offer potential solutions to this issue. No bill is perfect, but we must start somewhere. If conservatives fail to deliver School Choice, the Democrats and liberals will win, and our children and grandchildren will be the ultimate losers. We have a highly passionate coalition that desperately wants to deliver the best results for the people of South Dakota. It is fine to debate passionately, but we MUST DELIVER in the end. We The People don’t want political grifting and grandstanding. We want a solution.

South Dakota: 2019 ~$4.5Bn 2024 ~$7.4Bn 🤯🤯🤯 How many South Dakotans income increased by 65%?? 👀: @SDFreedomCaucus @DakotaFirstSD
The refrain in D.C. is that it’s impossible to cut $2TN from the federal budget, but here’s a hard fact: the federal government spent ~$7TN in 2024, yet only ~$4.5TN in 2019. There’s no excuse not to return to 2019 spending levels & if we do, our debt crisis is solved. Most of our 50 states would do well to follow a similar path as well.

Lots of nice propaganda pieces on the wall. Hope the kids are doing a little reading & math in between making posters for the administration. Might help get those proficiency scores up. #sdleg

While everyone has been focused on swing states, Never Trumpers have been attempting to reshape states like South Dakota. Our team has worked incredibly hard to stop progressive action in SD. Fellow conservatives beware, John Thune and Dusty Johnson are no friends to the MAGA movement.
The political revolution that took place in South Dakota in 2024 has largely flown under the radar. Conservatives took back control of their state. Interestingly, it shows why @JohnThune has no business being Senate Majority Leader. A thread 🧵 (1/)
