In my experience what gets called a "gap" in the literature is that "no one has ever thought of this idea", i e., sheer novelty. So this chart is helpful
I spent 6 days reading papers for my review. Found 24 studies. Read & felt productive. "So what's the actual gap?" my supervisor asked. I froze! Reading papers and identifying gaps are two VERY different skills. Nobody teaches you the second one. So I built myself a simple table based on Robinson et al.'s research gap identification work. Four categories. That's it. Insufficient Data → Less studies or tiny samples Quality Issues → Bias, weak methods, poor controls Mixed Results → Studies pointing opposing directions Wrong Focus → Right topic, missing characteristics I started filling this out WHILE reading. Not after. Every paper now gets tagged with a gap type and specific details. My future self stopped hating my past self. Try it with your next 5 papers. You'll spot patterns you missed before. 💬 Comment "Research Gap" to receive the complete workbook with step-by-step instructions. ------------------ Share to help your academic network 🔄 Repost And Click @RaziaAliani + follow + 🔔 I test AI tools to simplify your #research & #analysis (& 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮)

Would you accept an amendment? 1 - "You have questions'. That is, a declarative sentence that normalizes
5 things I learned from only 8 years of teaching: 1 - Never ask, “Are there any questions?” Ask, “What questions do you have?” Then just wait. 2 - They actually do need an assessment every single class. Even if it’s just 1 Q. “Exit tickets” can be cringe, but they work.

Pete's father, Professor Joe Buttigieg, was a highly respected colleague, and hearing Pete's take on how Gramsci's leftist perspective has been taken over by the right was brilliant. That's my mayor!
I’ve never seen this happen in a Buttigieg interview before. Patrick Bet David brings up Pete’s late father’s work translating Antonio Gramsci. Pete turns it around onto the American political right.

'North Country Blues' by Bob Dylan is something else, there's nothing quite like it. The melancholy, the gelid brilliance of it which goes straight to the marrow, bones, and blood. 'So, the mining gates locked and the red iron rotted And the room smelled heavy from drinking When the sad, silent song made the hour twice as long As I waited for the sun to go sinking.' youtube.com/watch?v=r5GjjUpp…

Years ago I had breakfast with former IN governor (and SB mayor) Joe Kernan. We talked about Pete. His insight: Pete is an executive, not a legislator. His immense skill set will be wasted in Congress
For everyone calling for Pete Buttigieg as the next Speaker of the House, as a 2020 Pete Buttigieg voter and longtime supporter, I'm here to tell you, he is way too talented and valuable for the chaos and inevitable infighting in the House of Representatives. Think bigger. 🇺🇸

The polka-dot tie is a nice touch, Bob.
The gloves. The umbrella. One could spend a lot of time thinking about this photo.

Fr. Antonio Spadaro has revealed that Pope Leo XIV introduced himself to Bob Dylan as a 'a son of St. Augustine' in reference to Dylan's song 'I Dreamed I saw Saint Augustine'

This song is quite obscure. I never heard of it and it's not listed on the Dylan website. Bob apparently wrote it for a 1963 anthology of anti-nuke protest songs that was never published. I doubt he ever performed it. That @Pontifex knows the song is one of the mysteries of the Church!
🚨 POPE LEO XIV MEETS BOB DYLAN IN HISTORIC PRIVATE VATICAN AUDIENCE Pope Leo XIV welcomed legendary Jewish-American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, 85, to the Apostolic Palace. The Pope gifted Dylan a rosary, while Dylan presented his autobiography. Vatican official Rev. Antonio Spadaro described the encounter as having “a real sense of history.” Leo, a longtime Dylan fan, previously quoted the musician’s 1963 anti-nuclear song, “Go Away You Bomb,” in a book on peace and disarmament.

Don't forget the formal black tie with polka dots, and the stylish black umbrella and boots.
Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan wore a black zip-up sweatshirt, hood up, when meeting with Pope Leo XIV. Dylan also wore black leather gloves, which he looks to have removed to shake hands with the pontiff. wapo.st/4BL6s41

"Pontiff and the Pop Star" streaming soon
Pope Leo and Bob Dylan look like they're starring in an early '90s CBS drama in which two priests - one by the book and one who does things his own way - try to solve mysteries in their seemingly sleepy Midwestern town that hides a seedy underbelly.

My goodness what astonishing news. Pontiff meets Pope!
🇺🇸 Today, I had the privilege and the joy of accompanying #BobDylan to meet Pope Leo, together with Andrea Monda. It was hard not to feel the emotion of being part of an encounter that had a real sense of history about it, with the feeling that, at every step through the Apostolic Palace, absolutely anything could happen! Carlo Feltrinelli and Susan Pullman were also with us. On July 31, Pope Leo had met with Patti Smith. I’m writing about it in L’Osservatore Romano.

It's what everyone's talking about this morning: That one time last year Bob Dylan added a mysterious new keyboard player for just three shows, a guy from Blondie who was never announced or explained. What was THAT all about? He told me the whole story. flaggingdown.com/p/blondies-…

If I'm not mistaken, that would be the former Loring Pasta Bar on the left side corner, the former Grays Drug Store back in the day when young Bobby Zimmerman crashed in an apartment upstairs. There should be signage marking this

And speaking of historical markers: there should be one for where the Ten O'Clock Scholar once stood, and the apartment complex where the fabled "Minnesota Hotel Tapes" were recorded.
