በኢትዮጵያ ጤና ሚኒስትርነት ለቀጣይ የሥራ ዘመን እንድቀጥል ለተሰጠኝ እምነት ከፍተኛ ክብርና ምስጋና ይሰማኛል። ባለፉት ዓመታት በጋራ ያከናወንናቸውን ሥራዎች በማጠናከርና የጤና ሥርዓታችንን ይበልጥ በማጎልበት የበለጠ ውጤታማና ዘላቂ ለውጥ ለማምጣት እንሰራለን። ይህም የጤና ባለሙያዎቻችንን፣ አጋሮቻችንንና መላውን የጤና ማኅበረሰብ ባሳተፈ የጋራ ጥረት ይሆናል። የጤና ዘርፉን በሀገራዊ ልማት አጀንዳ ውስጥ በማስቀመጥ ለሚያሳዩት ትኩረትና ለሚሰጡን የሥራ አቅጣጫ ያለኝን አድናቆት እየገለጽለኩ ለተሰጠኝ እምነትና ለቀጣይ የአገልግሎት እድል ክቡር ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ አህመድ(ዶ/ር) እና የተከበረውን የህዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት ከልብ አመሰግናለሁ። በሚቀጥለው የሥራ ዘመን በአንድነት፣ በፈጠራ፣ በትብብርና በተጠናከረ ቁርጠኝነት የጤና ዘርፉን የለውጥና የእድገት ሞተር ለማድረግ እንሰራለን። የተሻለች፣ ጤናማና ብልፅግናዋን ያረጋገጠች ኢትዮጵያን አብረን እንገነባለን።

Held a productive discussion with Dr. Mamadi Yilla, Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of State, on the strong and longstanding health partnership between 🇪🇹 and 🇺🇸. Our conversation focused on shared priorities and Ethiopia’s efforts to advance sustainable health outcomes. The partnership between our two countries has contributed to significant progress across the health sector. As we look ahead, we are committed to building on these achievements, strengthening sustainability, and fostering a health system that can effectively respond to current and future health needs while delivering lasting impact for our communities.

Today, in the presence of H.E Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed, we inaugurated a state of the art medical research complex, marking a new chapter in the scientific ecosystem of 🇪🇹 and across 🌍. Built within the Armauer Hansen Research Institute, this facility goes beyond infrastructure. It stands as a center of excellence advancing a self sustaining and healthy future for our nation. With 40 laboratories, advanced genomics and bioinformatics platforms, and a dedicated bioequivalence center, it will strengthen local pharmaceutical production, ensure quality, and enhance our readiness for public health emergencies. It marks a significant step forward in our journey toward sustainable local manufacturing of vaccines and medicines, strengthening our long term vision of self reliance. We extend our sincere appreciation to Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed for inaugurating this important national facility. This is not just an investment in science. It is an investment in Ethiopia’s future.

Today we inaugurated the Pediatric Eye Unit at @alert_hospital ; the first of its kind in 🇪🇹. A CoE designed for children and tailored to the unique needs of those with visual impairments. Deeply grateful to all our partners who helped in making this vision a reality.
