Youโve listed a disciplinary case and called it the whole story. Accountability matters, but players donโt simply abandon their careers for fun. Sometimes they conclude thereโs no place for them.
Where is the same patience afforded to Madhevere and Mavuta? Where are the clear standards for selection, performance and second chances?
An organisationโs job includes rehabilitation, counselling, therapy and mentorship not just PUNISHMENT. If @ZimCricketv canโt provide an analyst to scrutinise performances, what confidence should players have that proper welfare support exists?

This morning I received WhatsApp messages from the number +263 71 ******* (contact name ~Zee) in response to my post on Zimbabwe Cricket selection decisions. The sender told me they work for the ZC media department and then asked whether I had facts and a source for the comments, then stated: โYou are advised to take down this post and issue an apology accordingly to avoid escalation of this matter through relevant legal channels.โ When I asked the sender to introduce themselves and clarify in what capacity they were contacting me, they did not do so.
They later wrote that if I believed the claims were accurate and did not damage ZCโs reputation, I could ignore the message and they would use โthe relevant channels.โ
The number is not a publicly listed Zimbabwe Cricket contact. The sender has not identified themselves as an authorised representative of the organisation.
I have not taken the post down or issued an apology. The original post remains available.
